Pappy Van Fjords, LLC Fjords & Farmacy 🐓🍄‍🟫🍅🐴 PVF is a small scale Norwegian Fjord Horse Breeding farm in SW Missouri. We would love to partner with local restaurants/bakers!

Here at PVF our goal is to produce family oriented Norwegian Fjord Horses with good minds. We are starting slow with plans to grow our herd as we find horses that will be a good fit for our program. Aside from horses, we are also selling fresh produce from our raised bed garden. In the near future we will have farm fresh eggs available as well! Please don't hesitate to reach out. A beautiful day to play in the snow! Gio was happy to pull Niko around on his boogie board. Anthony also decided he wanted to give him a spin for the first time. Needless to say, I think I just lost my horse 😂

Happy 1st Brithday Amora! 💕

Our surprise filly was born on the evening of Valentine’s Day last year and I was so happy to be able to watch her birth. She’s growing up into a large and extremely personable girl. She’s in a bit of a growth spurt right now making her a little awkward 🙃 I love her dark legs and soft eye. She gets both of that from her dam, Dailia.

EGG CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ!

Tax season has made it very clear that these eggs aren’t cheap to produce 🥴

Effective immediately, our eggs are going to be $4/dozen with no carton return discount.
I am so sorry but with the cost of feed, and then receiving one too many torn or dirty cartons in return, we believe $4 is more than fair.
If you choose to continue to return our cartons, THANK YOU!

We will not be selling 18ct at this time but possibly again in the future for $6.

We understand if you chose to shop elsewhere, and we greatly appreciate those who continue to support us.

Feeding chickens for 6 months before they lay their first egg isn’t cheap, especially in the winter. We also have to value our time and money spent keeping clean coops and our flocks safe from predators.

Just a little update about our Farmacy goodies since I haven’t done one in a while!

First, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our egg and produce stand in 2024, and to those who purchased fresh flowers from us! I absolutely love the fact that people enjoy checking our little stands and supporting my hobbies.

The cold weather prevented us from opening the egg stand for a while but I did put 2 dozen eggs out this afternoon! We have some new layers so enjoy those beautiful colors we are getting.
The hens are laying but not as many eggs as I’d like out of nearly 30 chickens. We are hoping that soon we will be overloaded with them, now that the days are getting longer.
*please remember we appreciate all of the returns of clean Pappy’s Farmacy egg cartons, we do not use any other ones since we personally stamp them with our logo*

I was busy today planning what our garden will look like this year. We are going to do another large cut flower garden so don’t hesitate to reach out about those! This fall we did take out all of our raised garden beds 🫣 We did a trial of growing plants in grow bags and they worked WONDERFULLY! We are rearranging the back yard but the produce stand will be out later this year! Unfortunately the mushrooms won’t be coming back. Those were a TON of work and prevented us from really leaving the farm… not to mention they were sooo messy!

Thanks again for your support 💕 We love this community so much! Let me know if there is anything specific you want to see on our produce stand! Lots of tomatoes (not as many varieties as last year but more of the best producers), cucumbers, squash, lettuce, okra and herbs planned so far.

Starting the new year off with a new hay feeder!
Huge thanks to Richard at 417 Fabrication for cranking this out for us in less than a week. The horses went right to town and will be set for this coming week of frigid temps!

Gio, Elsa and Dailia didn’t seem to be too jealous that they don’t have one just yet 😆
