🦃🍂 Thanksgiving Foods That Are Toxic for Cats 🍂🦃

Some classic Thanksgiving dishes thatcan make cats very sick.
•Turkey skin or bones
•Stuffing (onion/garlic = toxic)
•Gravy
•Mashed potatoes (seasonings/dairy)
•Ham or fatty meats
•Cranberry sauce (sugar + xylitol risk)
•Raw dough
•Pumpkin pie & desserts (nutmeg, sugar, dairy)
•Chocolate
•Alcohol (even tiny amounts!)

⭐️Safe in small amounts:
Plain cooked turkey (no skin/bones), plain green beans, or plain canned pumpkin.⭐️

Indiana spay neuter transport dates and locations for January 2026. Please note that some of our transport locations have changed locations/times. We have also added new transport locations to our calendar! To schedule your cat or dog for a surgery, please call our transport line at 317-675-0072 and leave a message. You can also visit our website at www.lowcostspayneuterindiana.org to complete an online submission form to start the appointment process. When you go to our website, you have to choose the transport button and "schedule transportation;" otherwise, you will be directed to choose between our Brownsburg or Noblesville clinics.
We do not transport for vaccines only; however, vaccinations can be done at the same time as a spay, neuter, or dental. We do not require an appointment for feral cats; therefore, you can bring up to 2 feral cats per day per person. Please keep in mind that for some transports we are booking out several months. Follow our page to stay updated on new and upcoming transports! We look forward to caring for your pets!

Does anyone remember Nikko and Daryl from 2022? Now known as Nikko and Octavian. I love it when we continue to get updates about our adopted fur babies.

Adopter reports that Octavian has a back pack leash and was attending classes at Purdue until recently when they graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. He is now in Belfast Ireland getting his Master's. Nikko will be joining them next year. Adopter says they are both very much loved and doing well and have changed her life. Congratulations and good luck on your adventures!!

With all the neglect, abuse, and sickness ECT we see running a rescue it really warms our hearts when we hear how well our rescues are doing and how the love of the furr babies get people through stressful hard times. It reminds us why we do what we do.

We are excited for Asher. After a year of being with the rescue he has a meet and greet tomorrow and possibly a new place to call home. 🤞🤞🙏🙏

Liddy Bug is still waiting for her furrever home. She loves to run and play. She is a very playful little girl and would do best in a home with adults and teens. She would do well with other young cats but not older cats. She likes to play a little rough. Has never been introduced to dogs.
