We jokingly say "grab the twitch" "put a chain on him" he's a wild one!

I love this little pony. He rides kids around, teaches them the basic riding principles while remaining patient and calm.

He is clearly one of the special ones! He stands like this for me everytime.

Happy Saturday. I've grown to love this boy.

We been through a rough few months of poor hoof condition. Trying to get him back on track. His owner did everything i suggested, listened, sent pictures when she thought things were getting out of hand or when things improved and now look.

Today I was able to put front shoes on him. His feet are so much healthier! It makes my heart happy to see this.

Thankful and blessed. God is good.

Thankful for this sweet Mare Sarah Jane. We are starting her on a hoof supplement and possible boots to keep her comfortable while out in pasture.

I have a few horses and donkeys over the weekend but next week is open!

2 degree wedge and shoes for a boy who needed it desperately.

Owner said he has always shown improvement In heeled shoes.

He suffers from a dropped fetlock. He is not lame and he is sound. I trotted him around, watched his movements.

Maybe next shoe cycle we will take him up a little higher. Didn't want to throw to much at him after being barefoot for awhile.

Proud of me, proud of this hard work!

I shod two horses who have never been shod before today, trimmed 4 bigs and a donkey afterwards.

I'm tired, but thankful.

Clients that are patient, understanding and helpful make my job that much better. Luckily these clients were very helpful and very thankful after their farrier went MIA.

One of the horses I shod was EXTREMELY tender footed on the cement. After I shod him we went and walked him back over the road and he almost went into a full prance. He was feeling so good! That made todays hard work worthwhile!

Piggieacure, an elder couple reached out asking for help.

NO I did not go to a school for pigs or goats.
I have done my own pigs & goats for years.
I was taught from a old timey goat lady..awhile back.

Yes I am 100% honest when I get calls for goats & pigs.

I will always offer to help and do what I can... without hurting the animal in question!

Flipping pigs is actually the most comfortable position for them & they usually calm down fairly quick!

Still filling my books so spread the word!! Horses, donkeys, minis and an occasional goat or pig!

Horse was off balanced and had frog pockets filled with yuck. He use to be shod with front toe clips so we are working on getting the hoof wall back to normal.

Balanced him up and trimmed the frog nice and pretty, so it self cleans better. Treated for thrush and placed hoof oil.

Such a sweet horse!

Thursday night 9pm, just getting home from an emergency call.

I'm tired but I am so thankful and blessed to be the reason a donkey can feel some relief and the owner can sleep a little better.

I contemplated on posting this but truth is, this line of work isn't always a breeze. This farrier thing doesn't just fall into your lap, you have to want it. I take each day and learn through the struggle. I made it out alive, he wasn't out to kill as you can see. Testing me and didn't like the hammer. Tougher cases make me tougher 💪 Job well done & Client was happy. I'll take the win.
