Well this was a miracle!! Thank you Wright Air Service and their awesome pilot for making an emergency landing to pick up an injured dog in Nickolai!! Thank you Stephanie Petruska for getting the dog to the runway and Thank you Lynley Pair for picking the little dog up at the airport and getting him to the vet tonight!!!

Alaska Native Rural Veterinary, Inc. is partnering with Petco Love in their commitment to distribute 1 million free pet vaccines and help end life-threatening diseases in pets.
Top diseases preventable by vaccines are impacting our pets nationally. Parvovirus and distemper in dogs, and panleukopenia in cats, are seen too often impacting our most vulnerable pets. That's why we're taking action to help keep your pets healthy and providing these free pet vaccines directly to you.
Together, with Petco Love, we can keep the pets in our community healthier and save more pet lives!

Incredible veterinary trip to Koyukuk, Nulato, Kaltag, Galena, Arctic Village and Beaver is coming to a close!

We have so many people to thank for the success of this clinic!

First of all we are honored to partner with Tanana Chiefs Conference to bring life saving veterinary care to their Region!! Hopefully other Regions will follow TCC's example. Veterinary care is important to the health and quality of life for entire communities!

Thank you so much to each of the communities for welcoming and hosting us and making us feel right at home! And thank you to their on the ball, amazing community organizers!

Thank you to Cold Spot - for Healthy Pets for the donation of dog treats and toys. The dogs loved them!

Thank you to Greater Good Charities for the flea meds that also repel mosquitoes. The dogs and their owners were very grateful for this!

Thank you to IDEXX for the disease testing capabilities. These important tests help us to do disease surveillance while we're traveling and it is also a relief for owners to know that their dogs are healthy!

Thank you to our hard working crew, volunteers, veterinarians, veterinary & preveterinary students for making it happen!!

Meet our amazing Medical Advisor Dr. Arleigh Reynolds. We have worked alongside Dr. Reynolds on the rural veterinary care issue for years, he is on the same page as we are, and we will continue to do great things together.

Alaska Native Rural Veterinary, Inc. strives to have the most modern medical protocols and equipment on the market and Dr. Reynolds keeps us up to date!!

With this new partnership and combined effort, we are hoping to take the veterinary care situation to the next level, which is to improve access to veterinary care for all of the Alaskan villages that wish for care!!

Kenny Iyatunguk is our amazing young Inupiat helper in Shishmaref that has been volunteering with us since he was in 4th grade. He is a good worker, an natural with animals and an avid Native Dancer!! We are proud of him and look forward to the great things he's going to acomplish as he gets older!!! Kenny is in the middle.

Severe winter weather is all part of providing veterinary services to the far reaches of rural Alaska.!! Our team is stranded in Govolin, Alaska because of this 50+ mile per hour windstorm, however, we are safe inside and so are the locals and their dogs!!
