Alaska Native Rural Veterinary, Inc. ANRV is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit that works with Alaskan villages to provide modern veterinary care, spays and neuters to pets and sled dogs.

All of our Board members are mushers and most of us are born and raised in rural Alaska. We all work towards bringing modern culturally positive veterinary care to rural Alaska.

Oh my goodness we are about to get busy!!

Starting March 8 Saint Michael, Stebbins, Gambell, White Mountain, Little Diomede and Wales in partnership with Norton Sound Health Corporation!!

Together we continue to provide crucial veterinary care in a nonjudgemental environment!

These services improve the quality of life for pets as well as the residents and we are honored to partner with these communities and this amazing organization to make all of this possible!!

Wow, amazing veterinary trip to beautiful Ruby, Alaska comes to a close!

We have so many people to thank for the success of this clinic!

The entire community of Ruby came together to make sure that all the dogs and cats that needed care were brought in to be seen. Our local organizer Karissa Lynn McCarty, the tribe, the city and the local B&B worked with us to make this one of our most successful trips yet.

We are honored to partner with Tanana Chiefs Conference to bring lifesaving veterinary care to their Region!! Hopefully other Regions will follow TCC's example! Veterinary care and spay/neuter/vaccination service in rural Alaska is crucial to the health and quality of life for entire communities!

Thank you also to our hard-working team members and veterinarians!!

Incredible spay/neuter/vaccination veterinary trip to beautiful Kaktovik, Alaska comes to a close!

We have so many people to thank for the sucess of this clinic!

First of all, thank you to the community for hosting and welcoming us!! We had such a good time visiting and listening to stories!

Thank you to our amazing young local helper John Agiak Jr. for going door to door with us and showing us where all the dogs live. This is a new community, so John helped introduce us to everyone and their furry family members!

Thank you to the local health clinic for all the help/preparation and thank you to the Barrow Veterinary Clinic for organizing!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to IDEXX for their continued generosity that allows us to provide lifesaving veterinary care to underserved rural Alaska communities and diagnostic disease surveillance testing while we're traveling.

Thank you all so much! We couldn't do it without you!

Well this was a miracle!! Thank you Wright Air Service and their awesome pilot for making an emergency landing to pick up an injured dog in Nickolai!! Thank you Stephanie Petruska for getting the dog to the runway and Thank you Lynley Pair for picking the little dog up at the airport and getting him to the vet tonight!!!

Alaska Native Rural Veterinary, Inc. is partnering with Petco Love in their commitment to distribute 1 million free pet vaccines and help end life-threatening diseases in pets.
Top diseases preventable by vaccines are impacting our pets nationally. Parvovirus and distemper in dogs, and panleukopenia in cats, are seen too often impacting our most vulnerable pets. That's why we're taking action to help keep your pets healthy and providing these free pet vaccines directly to you.
Together, with Petco Love, we can keep the pets in our community healthier and save more pet lives!

Thank you to Cold Spot - for Healthy Pets for the donation of dog treats and toys. The dogs loved them!

Thank you to Greater Good Charities for the flea meds that also repel mosquitoes. The dogs and their owners were very grateful for this!

Thank you to IDEXX for the disease testing capabilities. These important tests help us to do disease surveillance while we're traveling and it is also a relief for owners to know that their dogs are healthy!

Thank you to our hard working crew, volunteers, veterinarians, veterinary & preveterinary students for making it happen!!
