Oh this 16 hand boy is sure the kind. Super gentle. Long, deep strided walk. The old plantation gait you can't hardly find anymore. He's 8 years old, and ready to hit the trails. Video coming. He's still a stud, but I'll geld him for you. 2 different prices depending on how you want him. He is quiet, calm, and pays no attention to the ladies, unless you put the stud chain on him. He's made some stunning babies. We have sent his DNA in to see if he's registered. We really feel he is, but we didn't receive papers. Should have answer from TWHBEA any day. $5000 as a stud.

Ways to prevent an emergency vet visit during the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my G&G family. May you have a safe and blessed holiday full of love and amazing food.
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1XjekNNA5w/

As we enter Thanksgiving week in the US, many of your vets will be out of town or spending much needed time with their families.

It’s times like these that horse owners need to practice preventative caregiving.

During this holiday time, as an emergency only vet, I recommend the following:

- Don’t deworm your horse right now.

- Don’t start a new feed right now.

- Don’t get a new round bale of coastal hay right now if you’ve let the last one go to dust (give small amounts at a time or mix with a stemmy hay until they’ve had their fill, then give the round bale).

- Don’t change schedules.

- Don’t vaccinate your horse right now, especially if you have a known reactor.

- Don’t be in a rush and fail to soak your feed for long enough (choke risk) - especially if you’re late to feed due to holiday errands/get togethers.

- If you have visitors, limit treats. Ensure gates are closed. Make sure feed doors and bins locked.

There is already a shortage of equine vets - and the few we do have will likely be out of town or trying to enjoy the holiday.

Let’s all have a very Happy Thanksgiving. And let’s let our vets stay home with family!

Remember: Proper Preparation Prevents Postponed Potlucks! đŸ˜‚đŸ„Ž

Check out Gambler. 13/3 and looks to top out about 14/1. Gelding broke by the amish. Both parents in Southern Illinois at Bear Branch. Gambler ground ties, stretches out, neck reins, you can shoot a gun off of him, and he's an in your pocket baby doll. Has an amazing gait and so gentle. Will go anywhere you point him alone or in a group $4000.

Tommy Woodcock, a renowned trainer and horse whisperer, had a special bond with his stallion Reckless, the favourite for the Melbourne Cup that year. The image, taken by photographer Bruce Postle, impressively shows the deep connection between humans and animals.

Postle described the scene as follows: "He looked at Reckless, and Reckless looked at him. Without a word, the big stallion dropped his head and laid it on Tommy's chest. Tommy scratched his neck, and the horse closed his eyes—that was it. I took two photos, and that was all."

Woodcock's skill and dedication were admired by many, including Ros Neave, who was impressed by his ability to lead several two-year-old horses around the racetrack at the same time calmly and focused. This story and the iconic photo are a symbol of the unique bond between a trainer and his horse and a testament to Woodcock's gentle and respectful approach to animals.
