Help with PBJ! Bjorn wants to let you know that we’ve teamed up with Best Friends Animal Society for their Bring Love Home Challenge! We've been working hard behind the scenes to increase our foster placements and have brought in as many foster kitties as possible for this weekend's events! Come meet your best friend today!

Meet Luke and Hummus!

Luke (1½, mostly white) is sweet, petite, and curious, while Hummus (2½) is a big, gentle teddy bear who adores laps. The boys traveled from Amman, Jordan in April 2025 in search of a forever home and are deeply bonded.

Hummus (“Hummie”) is an affectionate love bug who seeks hugs, purrs instantly, loves toys, and enjoys both lap time and play—especially wrestling and chasing games with Luke. He’s calm, quiet, and an excellent sleeper. Luke is people-oriented and inquisitive, following his humans from room to room. More independent than Hummie, he enjoys affection on his own terms, loves interactive play, bird-watching, and exploring new sights and sounds. Together, they play hard, groom each other, and curl up to sleep in the tiniest beds—best friends who truly belong together.

We offer a foster to adopt trial period where you can determine if they are the right fit for you. Maybe you have room in your home and heart for these precious boys?

Wednesday was sad and unexpected as we had to say goodbye to six-year-old Pets Bring Joy kitty Opie.
Opie is one of our long term kitties having been with Pets Bring Joy for over two years after her initial return due to her medical problems. . She had a host of conditions making her very unpopular with people looking to adopt.
She was however never unpopular with us. Opie was loved by many and cared for lovingly in her foster home by her foster mom Julie and our vet Dr. Preyer. Between the medication’s, biopsies, full body shaves, and frequent medical baths, Opie was not for the faint at heart
That did not stop Pets Bring Joy and Julie from making sure she had everything she needed.
She was also loved by her kitty mate Dot who she originally came with from the shelter. Wednesday night he was crying and searching for her.
Opie was a beautiful and sweet girl. She will be missed.
The most incredible way to honor her memory would be to help Dot find a home with another welcoming, loving kitty.

These special fur babies are between 6-8 months old and are very social. They may go as singles to homes with welcoming resident cats or in pairs.
