Camp Wannadog Offering summer day camps, workshops, in-home family dog adoption counseling, kid clinics and school What kid doesn't want a dog at some point?

Unfortunately, families often don't really know how find the best dog for them, which is why they sometimes end up with one that just isn't a good fit. Parents get frustrated, dogs get returned, kids are unhappy. Camp Wannadog prevents that by helping kids and their families learn how to pick the right pooch from the start. At Camp Wannadog, kids (approximate age range 9-15) work with a variety of

local pet professionals and a highly screened, temperament-tested mascot to learn the basics of:
canine temperament, training, and grooming and first aid,
local animal laws and requirements, and
humane education principles
At the end of the session, each student receives a Certificate of Dog Readiness and a Camp Wannadog T-shirt. Interested students will also have the opportunity to complete a family dog adoption plan. Additional services such as dog adoption counseling and school presentations also available.

This is Scuba, a 3-year-old, 50lb male Border Collie mix! Scuba is a very affectionate dog who loves to curl into you for pets and cuddles. He’ll even try to crawl into your lap! Izzy is part miniature schnauzer, part shaggy dog bed and 100% cuddle bug. At 10 years of age, she's mastered the art of melting hearts with her beautiful brown eyes. Izzy is an overall sweet pup who enjoys going on leisurely walks and hanging out with her doggo friends.
