Hunting season is upon us! If you get a deer, please message me or call/text 516-1809. Turnaround time is approximately one year which seems to be under the average time.

I am still working hard on deer from last season. Between my two knee surgeries over the summer and school, I am a little bit behind. I should still be able to finish in a reasonable time. I have also been continuing to fine tune my skills during this time thanks to a great mentor.

Thank you to all my customers for choosing me for your deer mounts. Unfortunately, I had a knee injury a few weeks ago that resulted in me tearing my MPFL (the ligament that holds the patella in place). I will be having surgery sometime in the near future. My hope is to still have all the mounts done within the amount of time originally quoted. However, I know this could set me back just a bit. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing what I can to push forward though. Thank you for your understanding!

I attended the Illinois Taxidermy Association convention over the weekend. It was an honor to visit and learn from others in the industry. I also got to spend some time with two of my mentors. I’m very thankful for the opportunity!

I really appreciate the tremendous amount of support this deer season. As of right now, I have reached the max I can take in order to get them back in an appropriate amount of time. On top of this business, I'm still a high school student, so I have to have a limit. If you have already been in touch with me, I have you on the list. Please remember me for next hunting season!

Shotgun season starts tomorrow! I’m hoping to get a lot of shoulder mounts this year and appreciate all the support. Right now, I am not offering European mounts. When caping your deer for a mount, here are the cuts you need to make!

Here is a valuable tip: When you drop off your deer at a processor and they cape it for you, make sure you pick it up ASAP when they call! Because they don’t usually put it in a freezer, it gets put in a cooler like a big refrigerator. It slows down decomposition but doesn’t stop it! I have seen a lot of capes ruined because they set too long at the processor, because people assume they are frozen.
