A litter is still doing great with weaning, and they are becoming rockstars with the turf box! Next step, crate training!
The personalities on these guys are really starting to show up😊 They love playing with their toys and wrestling with each other! Such a fun bunch

M-Locus results are in!
Bowie is a cryptic merle
m/MC-m/227

The terminology of “cryptic merle”, “hidden merle”, “ghost merle”, and “phantom merle” have all been used to describe a dog who is M- Merle but has no visible Merle pattern.
In March 2015 a paper was published naming the shortest allele on the M locus as “Mc- Cryptic Merle”. The Poly-A tail of this allele is so shortened, that it no longer expresses a merle pattern.
Key notes: no merle pattern, no change to coat color or pigment shading, no eye color change, no pigment is deleted to white, dogs who are m/Mc will breed the same as non-Merle.
