L👀k at Auggie go! This morning, Auggie had his stitches removed from having his rear leg amputated. But, don’t tell him that because he’s been an unstoppable trooper through the whole process. Auggie’s back and it’s like nothing ever happened. In fact, he seems to get around better than he did before. No more stiff leg getting in the way, no more tearing his toe nails off and how cute is his tail with that tuft of floof! He just may be the cutest tripod ever and he has a built in Halloween costume on, a Lion 🦁 Not only is tomorrow Halloween, it’s also Auggie’s 2nd Birthday 🎂 What better way to celebrate than getting a whole new lease on life. His total bill for the amputation was $2,100. What Auggie wants more than anything, except for a Furever Family, is donations to our Winslow’s Warriors Medical Fund so that pets just like him can continue to get the life changing vet care they need. So, let’s all wish Auggie a big Happy Birthday and make a donation in his name 🎉

A sweet ginger mama has given birth to 7 purrrfect kittens in someone’s backyard. We really want to help even though we are beyond max capacity. We need a Foster Family who has a little extra space and lots of love & cuddles to share for about 4-6 weeks. As a FAS Foster Family, you provide the space & the love, we provide everything else from food, supplies and all medical care. This person tied up a dog in front of our facility this morning at about 7:30am. We were just inside but there was no attempt to notify anyone. We don’t know if the dog is a found dog or his dog. The dog has been picked up by the Dept of Animal Services. If you know this dog or have any information please contact DAS in Carlsbad.
