•$25 payment is required to sign up, call or pay in person to officially sign up!

Qualifications:
Your dog must…
•Be an established and current PD dog to participate!
•Have a confirmed reservation Monday-Friday August 19th-30th and arrive by 12pm!
•Have a solid sit/wait command!
•Not be fearful of camera/lighting equipment, we will not scare dogs to obtain the pictures!

These are a perfect gift for kids, dog parents, dog grandparents, teachers, friends, or anyone else who loves your dog! 🐾

We are excited to share that we will again be participating in the Fargo-Moorhead Pride weekend! 🏳️‍🌈

We will have a booth at Pride in the Park on Saturday, August 10th from 11am-4pm. Come see us for a chance to win FREE Prairie Dog goodies such as: coozies, frisbees, treats, and more! 🐾

We will also be joining the parade lineup on Sunday, August 11th at 2pm. The parade route falls along Broadway & NP Avenue, we hope to see some familiar faces to hand out candy to! 🍬

8/5/2024 Update:

We thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we awaited the proper answers to share in regard to Sasha and the results of her necropsy.

Although we have not been provided the full necropsy report, the following was shared with us by her owner: “The Necropsy shows Sasha had a bad heart and it’s coincidental that she started having trouble that day.”

We have turned off the comments on our post and they will remain off. Our staff’s mental health has been greatly affected by false statements and accusations in the comments, shares, and Google reviews. In addition to our staff, we want the family to have privacy to grieve and no longer receive notifications, being again reminded.

To Sasha’s family, we sincerely offer our deepest sympathy and condolences. We hope you are able to heal from the loss of her and may she live on in your heart forever and always.

🎆🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from us at Prairie Dog! 🇺🇸🎆

Fireworks can be very scary and confusing for dogs, here are a few tips to help them feel secure:

1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area where your dog can go to if they are showing signs of anxiety.
2. Keep Them Indoors: During the fireworks, keep your pets inside to prevent them from running away or getting injured.
3. Use Soothing Sounds: Play calming music or white noise to help drown out the loud sounds.
4. Stay Calm: Your pets can sense your emotions. Stay relaxed and provide plenty of comfort, reassurance, and cuddles.

Celebrating 10 Years of Trigger! 🎉

Not only is Trigger celebrating his 10 year gotcha day this week, he is also celebrating his 10 year Prairie Dog Anniversary! Trigger has been one of our regulars since his first day back in 2014 and we look forward to each day we get to set up an area just for him to take his daily naps! Because if you know anything about Trigger, second to chasing bunnies, naps are his favorite!

Our grooming manager, Janna, celebrates TEN YEARS with Prairie Dog today!🐶🎊

Janna started off at Prairie Dog on June 7th, 2014 as a Daycare/Kennel Attendant, but over time, with training and continued education courses, she has transformed into the fabulous groomer that she is today!
The majority of Janna’s schedule is groomer request, so she truly gets a chance to bond with each of the dogs that she works with, and what works or maybe doesn’t work for certain dogs. Janna’s favorite dog breeds to groom are Shih Tzu’s & Standard Poodles, although she does love seeing all of the different breeds that come into her schedule! Janna has an interest in creative grooming, this past Christmas, she attempted it for the first time on her personal dog, and turned her into the Grinch!
Not only does Janna stay busy at work, but she also has a busy household! Janna & her husband, Kelly, have two children, Nahla, 8, & Soren, 6, who make sure to keep life busy! Janna’s household doesn’t stop there, she also has three dogs, Ludo (Pug), Freyja (Great Dane), & Astrid (Standard Poodle), as well as two domestic shorthair cats, Aesop & Roxy.
During her free time, Janna loves to spend time with her family, spend time outside, read, & travel! Although, if it was up to her, all of her free time would be spent at her FAVORITE place, Universal Studios, in Orlando, FL!
Thank you, Janna, for your DECADE of hard work and dedication you have given to Prairie Dog. We are so lucky to have you as a part of the glue of our family! We hope you enjoy celebrating this weekend, at Universal!🤍🎉

Our fan favorite summer time kennel option, is our In & Out runs! These kennels offer not only 7’x4’ of indoor space for your pup, they also each have their own attached, 8’x4’ private outdoor run. Each In & Out comes already equipped with a Kuranda cot. The attached private outdoor area is fully fenced in, including all sides and the top. The outdoor area also includes privacy fencing and a private section of turf for your pup! These kennel runs are great for dogs who do not participate in group play, but enjoy spending time outdoors!☀️

These kennels do tend to book up 3-4 weekends in advance, so if you would like to book your pup to stay in an In & Out run, make sure to plan ahead of time for their stay!🐶
