At NDSU, AMSA is a pre-health organization focused on helping students learn more about career options in the health care field. One of our meetings is volunteering at HERO and the other meeting is a group meeting on campus. During our group meetings, we may discuss entrance exams, ways to boost your resume, ways to get involved in the community, and of course fun upcoming activities for our group
! Occasionally we have speakers come to talk to us during our meetings. During the year, we may travel to other cities to visit their medical schools or medical facilities. In the past we have attended Pre-Med Day at UND, and we have visited Mayo Clinic. As well as great exposure to the health care field, AMSA offers you a great place to connect with people who have similar interests. In the organization, we have students from all different health majors: pre-med, pre-dental, pre-PA, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary science, and allied health sciences. We accept anyone who is interested in health science; no matter what your major is. If you're looking for more information about the health care field, AMSA is the place for you. If you are just looking for some good friends and a good time, AMSA is also the place for you!
