Farmington Animal Hospital

Farmington Animal Hospital We treat your pets like we treat our own. Farmington Animal Hospital, located in Farmington, Connecticut, is a complete service hospital.

We are equipped with surgery, digital radiology, dental, exam, pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory, and kennel facilities. The doctor uses a Surgitron during surgeries, which resembles a laser but uses ultra high frequency radio waves sent to an electrode tip for precise, clean cutting. This equipment is used in both our major and minor surgeries as it aids in rapid healing. Digital radiography gives

us quick images which we can readily share with you. Our dental Cavitron is put into regular use, keeping pet's teeth sparkling and strong.

During this holiday season, it is essential to remember that many animals are in urgent need of permanent loving homes. If you have the time, love, and dedication to offer, I suggest visiting your nearest shelter to adopt and save a life.

Whether you’re in the market to adopt a senior pet or already the proud owner of one (or two), the AVMA has developed resources and FAQs to help pet owners during Senior Pet Health Month and Adopt a Senior Pet Month (which both take place in November!) https://bit.ly/47NYRVo

Happy Thanksgiving from all the staff at FAH.

Skip the table scraps 🦃 🙏

Thanksgiving is almost here, and we know how tempting it can be to share a little bit of your big holiday meal with your pets. 🩵 But not all the foods we enjoy are safe for them.

Some of our favorite Thanksgiving staples can make animals very sick so please help keep your furry family members safe by sticking to pet approved treats only. 🥕

What sweet Stacee pictured here would really love for the holiday is a home of her very own. 🙏 She does not need leftovers she just wants a cozy bed some love and maybe a bone or two. ❤️‍🩹 Stacee is three years old, and she would be so thankful to spend the season with a family who cares about her.

The shelter will be closed on Thursday November 27 for Thanksgiving and will reopen Friday at 11 am for our Black Furrday event! 🖤

The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road.If you have questions call 954-989-3977 💕

Nothing says peace quite like a weekend spent curled up with a dog who loves you. This cozy picture shows a child and her puppy drifting into a soft, warm rest that feels like the perfect escape from a busy world. Their quiet breathing and gentle closeness paint a picture of true comfort.

Dogs love these moments just as much as we do. They enjoy the calm, the cuddles, and the feeling of being wrapped in safety beside someone they trust. For them, sleep is even sweeter when it’s shared. Their hearts beat steadier when they are close to their human.

The simplicity of this scene reminds us that joy doesn’t always need adventure or excitement. Sometimes it comes from doing nothing at all—simply lying down, feeling warmth, and enjoying the peaceful presence of someone you care about. These still moments often become our favorite memories.

Weekend plans may vary, but there is nothing more healing than time spent with a furry friend who makes every quiet moment feel like home. In their embrace, the world slows down, and everything suddenly feels right 🐶💤

Saving one animal may not change the world, but it changes everything for that one. Let's honor their memory by giving love and care to another. Every paw counts, and every life matters. Donating to animal shelters can make a big difference. Together, we can make a change! 🐾❤️

Frosty-faced furbabies still have plenty of love to give. Yet, they often get overlooked in shelters. 🥺

In honor of , we're shining a spotlight on these golden oldies. With so much going for them, from being ready-made companions to the unshakeable loyalty they harbor towards their forever families, consider them next time you're looking to adopt. 💙

This illustration captures one of the sweetest bonds in the world: an older human holding the dog who chose them long ago. You can almost feel the softness of the fur, the warmth of the embrace, and the years of shared memories wrapped into that single moment. Their faces say everything words cannot.

For many people, a dog brings purpose to each day. There are walks to take, meals to share, and quiet evenings side by side. As time passes, the dog becomes a steady companion through joy and grief, illness and recovery, laughter and silence. That kind of friendship is rare and precious.

Dogs do not care about age, titles, or status. They care about kindness, patience, and the gentle routines that build trust over time. The old hands in this image have likely prepared countless meals, cleaned muddy paws, and given comforting pats at just the right moments. In return, the dog has offered loyalty that never wavers.

Being chosen by a dog means having a partner who stays through every chapter of life. This hug is a thank you from both sides: thank you for caring, and thank you for loving me back. It is a quiet celebration of a lifetime of devotion shared between two souls 🐶🧡
