Today will be Jane’s late day at Stoney Creek Veterinary Service!
Jane is retiring so that she will have more time to spend with her family and friends. Jane has been with Stoney since the beginning…literally she grew up on the farm. As many of you know, Jane has been family to us all and will be missed dearly but we are beyond happy for her.

The weather this week has been amazing but is about to change. The change in temperatures will add stress to our pigs as we start to travel home over the next couple days. Below are tips to help the transition easier on your livestock.

Delaynie is on site at The Exposition available for magnowave treatments. The Hendrickson’s pens are located in the northeast corner of the sheep barn and they can get you set up with Delaynie.

Today was our first ooocyte collection! Everything went so smooth with Dr Sanders aspirating, Cheyenne running chuteside and Delaynie sorting oocytes. We have openings for our next collection.

We had all sorts of animals in the clinic yesterday. Our vet assistant Delaynie was helping this new lamb bring its body temperature back up after administering fluids. Hopefully it is on its way back to a speedy recovery thanks to Dr Sanders and Delaynie.

This week Delaynie our vet assistant spent time training with Dr Sanders preparing for her time next week at Trans Ova for her embryology training. After that this step, we will be ready to roll with the IVF certification from Trans Ova!
