For 18 years OTR (Over The Road) trucking is what I done for a living and loved every breath taking moment of it. Until November 27, 2017 a careless commercial truck driver took it all away from me. In this accident I sustained injuries that crippled me and resulting in an emergency surgery or risk permanent paralyzation. Now out of work and a family that needed my support, this all took me to a very dark place. Through it all my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ kept from losing it all. After first being captivated by the sheer awesomeness of the South African Boerboel breed, I must admit, I was in love. So the pursuit of this love affair began with buying not one but two puppies. Yes, now I realize that was not where you start, because that start could have very well been the beginning of the most horrific nightmare. Now Looking back, I should have began my quest with FaceBook’s Boerboel Owners Group. It was here I learned of DNA testing and health checks for the breed.
