Good reminder to never get in a rush with your c**ts!

“There are c**ts I’ve loped in the first five or 10 rides and then there are some c**ts I didn’t lope for the first 60 rides. It’s part of developing a feel for what your horse is thinking. A horse will tell you when he’s ready to go to the next step. It’s your job to listen to him and go to the next step when it’s time, not to push him to a step he’s not comfortable with.

SMOKE DETECTOR is a 2023 stud c**t sired by A Vintage Smoke and out of an own daughter of Gunner. Very athletic c**t, smooth traveling and quick footed. Has all the right ground work and 8 rides at the time of this post, and will continue to get more. Stands tied, loads and unloads, trimmed his feet, etc. NRHA, NRBC, and NARS.

SMOKIN REMEDY 103 is a 2011 AQHA gelding. Grandson of Playgun. Done all aspects of ranch work and trail riding. Not much that stirs him up. Honest, reliable horse that has been there and done that. Lots of bone and foot. He’s been my go to horse checking leases this year.

I have a very limited number of openings for starting c**ts in 2025. I will only be accepting 2 year olds. I start a few of my own futurity prospects every year along with some c**ts for customers. I am also part of a growing cattle operation, so if your horse stays long enough they will have the opportunity to be hauled all over checking and pushing cows.

Every horse will be started from the ground up and worked with five days per week. There is an indoor arena onsite so bad weather is never an issue. I feed alfalfa pellets and grain, and everybody has clean automatic water.

SHESMYELECTRICCHIC is a 2022 filly by Electric Code, earner of 200,000 NRHA and producer of over 1 million. Out of a granddaughter of Smart Chic Olena. Has about 30 rides on her. Very gentle filly, but with lots of feel and likes to stop. She does have an overbite, and her prlce reflects that.
