We were discussing the Pueblo people for history how they farmed the top of the mesas and built homes below, and Tucker went and built this. ❤️

They are listening and absorbing much more than you think. We also discussed physics and several other deep topics. Typical homeschool mishmash day. 😆

We did spare Llama this round, so Chili would have a friend for a couple months, as we don't like them to kid before there first birthday and Obi is in with the others now.
Llama is still looking for new pastures, will be a nice midsized goat not small or large, very friendly, from a good solid milking mama and normal eared, born April 2024 can also sell bred in a few months. ❤️

I was really happy with how well the kids grewout this year. We did 2 large wethers, and lil Sandy, and inspected her large hernia. She had huge deposits of fat in it just sitting there keeping her intestines from slipping through the hole. Amazing how the body compensates, but I'm sure it was never comfortable poor sweet girl. I'm so glad she never carried kids, and feel it was definitely the right time to let her go before something happened.

Current goat count 7 breeding does, 2 young does, 1 buckling. A perfect set of 10.

Good morning! Cold rainy day here, hoping to get some baking done during/after schoolwork. 😋 Then work on our charity projects, have a lot of intakes to sort through.

Yesterday we went grocery shopping, first time in over a month. 🙌 So excited to have some ready to eat food again in the house, though it won't last. 😆 Yogurt, jerky sticks, some cereals, protein bars, pretzels, and some bread for the freezer, and yes milk because we have freeloaders out back. Makes my life easier in this season as a working, homeschool mom to have ready to grab snacks. Thank God for little blessings. ❤️

I was thinking yesterday, we aren't really crunchy or non crunchy, we are... thrifty, and I have no idea what type homeschoolers we are. 🤷‍♀️ probably crazies 🤪 a little mixture of it all.
