Shearing today!
Shearing today! These girls will look a lot different in a bit! Thank you to Beth with Blue Mist Farm in Enumclaw for handling everyone with such care. 💕
Casper, Crypto & Finn's New Home
Congratulations to our little yearlings Casper, Crypto & Finn on going to a fantastic home this week. Here's a video from when we dropped them off and they got to meet their new friends. Always great to work with Cross Creek Alpaca Rescue to help alpacas find loving homes and the biggest thank you to my hubby Greg for his help as well!
Miss Betty from the Mt Vernon rescue enjoying some hay munchies. Alpacas are ruminants (multiple stomach compartments like cows) so watch closely and you can see her bring up some cud to chew. She also looks like she has pigtails!
Video credit once again to our awesome volunteer Marge.
We have added more yarn for our stash sale today! We are here until 3:00 today and 10-3 tomorrow.
When you hope and pray the new rescues you brought in (Rosemary - grey spotted her 2-month-old baby Sage and Pepper - black female) will all get along, especially the baby boys...I think we have the Three Musketeers now: Cuzco, August & Sage! 💙💙💙
Two weeks old today! Little Auggie (August) trying to figure out what this dried grass stuff is all about! 😆💙
Somebody is still pretty friendly at only two days old. Their instinct to be fearful usually kicks in at a few days old.
Also, I think we have a name…August or Auggie for short. (Thank you Milly!)
Our oldest and our youngest. Zoe was our first rescue 10 years ago. Her new owners’ dogs killed her baby. She is 20 years old.
Our new baby boy born yesterday from our rescue mom Wilma and our 6-week-old Cuzco whose mom Betty was rescued with Wilma from Mt Vernon.
It’s been many years since we’ve had two babies on the farm. 💙💙
