Today is not an easy day. We've lost a special member that's part of the Pappy's community. Laika (AKA Old Timer) passed away comfortably on 05/08/2022 @ 1026. He's found himself a forever home in God's arms.
We still can hear him barking for us to walk him and take him out to his favorite spot to rest. Or his jealously when we took Bart out first before him. I still can feel his presence with us, making sure we're safe.
This is what we're about, making a difference for these hard-working animals. We want them to find forever homes/families so that when the hardest day comes. They pass with the joy to know what it meant to be loved. The old-timer was loved by all staff and volunteers. We remember exactly the first time, he lean on one of our staff and rested. He felt so comfortable and safe.
