Hello everyone!

I apologize for the absence on here. Everything has been crazy with moving, trying to winterize our new place, and dealing with sick kids!

Things are finally a little less hectic.

I will be doing some breeding later today and wanted to know what everyone is looking for in rabbits!!

I have a trio of red new Zealand I will be breeding.

These sweeties are 👀 for their new 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦s! They are oh so cuddly and started on litter training. All have blue eyes. Ready 4/13. Located near Star Lake NY. Can meet within 3 hours/work with trans.porters.

I do also have 3 others that their brother decided to snack on their fur 🙄 so waiting for their fur to grow back before posting but I can get pics if desired. One harle vm doe and buck/doe bews.

Please be aware and educate yourselves on this virus. It's hitting closer to "home". This again is why I have a closed Rabbitry. This hits fast and will wipe out entire herds in days. It can hit house pets too.
Scary stuff. 😔

‼️Montgomery County NY ~ A NY vet received the following alert from the New York Department of Agriculture & Markets yesterday:

“December 9, 2021

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has confirmed a case of Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2) in a domestic rabbit in Montgomery County. On November 13, a previously healthy rabbit was found dead by its owner. A necropsy was performed at the New York State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Cornell University on November 16. Pathologists at Cornell noted lesions characteristic of RHDV2 and samples were referred to the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory at Plum Island, NY. The diagnosis was confirmed on December 3. A second rabbit in the household died on November 16. This animal was sent for cremation and no samples were collected for testing. There were no other rabbits on the premises. The rabbits were kept indoors, had no history of travel, and did not have any recent exposure to new rabbits.”
