Hello, all. I took a short break for my health but am back ready to train alllll the dogs! Let’s get your pups ready for beach and park season!

Fido feeling a little too excited when he sees other dogs, barking and lunging? Daisy getting too excited and stealing hot dogs off the counter during cookouts? Serberus seem like a good service dog candidate for your anxiety and seizures?

Let me help you have the best and most functional, happy pack possible.

Hello, all.

I am trying to help some clients/friends seek a new home for Dot.

Dot was born 12/31/22. She is a heeler mix. She recently had an accidental litter of puppies and all her puppies have found homes, but now it’s time we find a best fitting home for her, too.

Dot is very excited and overwhelmed when she sees cats, and has a few cat siblings. We think she would be best suited to a home without cats.

She has lived with reptiles and other dogs and done very well, however. She is super loving, intelligent, and eager to learn. When she was a younger puppy I had the wonderful opportunity to do a few basic obedience sessions and work on distractions. She is going to need some more work on obedience and distractions, and work on seeing cats on walks. I have worked with many members of the community. I am willing to continue working with Dot at a discount for whoever takes her into their loving home if wanted, or help find a trainer if you’d prefer.

It would be so wonderful if the new home could provide updates on how Dot is proceeding. She is very loved and rehoming is just because it is what is best for Dot at this current time, no one’s fault.

Please message me if you have any questions or inquiries or text me

Thank you!

Hello, everyone! As many of us a know a mystery respiratory illness is rapidly spreading the nation affecting our K9 friends. If I have an upcoming session or pet sitting appointment with you please make me aware as soon as possible so we can reschedule and prevent the spread if your dog is symptomatic or has been around other symptomatic dogs. I have to protect all the dogs I see doing my work plus my own pets. Thank you and please stay safe, make sure your dog is UTD on all available vaccines, and stay on top of heartworm and flea and tick prevention.

This precious pup is Jessica Snow. She is a chorkie (Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier Mix). She used to bark at every noise and especially at every person she saw. She still needs reminding that not everyone is an enemy but with the help of Bec at Baltimore Pups for Peace we can now take her to the mall or a walk down the street with no problems. She has a great time and is calm unless she finds the need to lick someone. As apparently some children need licks hello.

REPOST!

Reposting from BARCS' volunteer newsletter in case anyone was interested in adopting a new furry friend:

***🚨OUT OF SPACE🚨*** BARCS is in a state of emergency… again. We have taken in 1,234 animals so far this month and are out of space yet again. We know we sound like a broken record, but this is our reality: animals in our shelter are at risk today if we don’t get adopters in our doors. We are waiving fees immediately through Sunday (7/2) to save their lives. Waiting until the weekend will not solve today’s crisis, so the sooner you can come, the better. We are facing our most difficult year ever, and the situation is only getting worse as we enter into summer.

We can’t save their lives without your help. BARCS is Baltimore’s only open-admission shelter; even though we’re full, more animals will continue to enter our doors via Baltimore City Animal Control and citizens in crisis. Without our community’s help, our team will be forced to make impossible choices. We understand this level of transparency is difficult to take in, but without help, we’re left with very few options.

ADDRESS: 2490 Giles Road, Baltimore, MD 21225

HOURS: Weekdays from 2-6 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

• You can make the biggest impact by visiting our shelter and inquiring about dogs who are already spayed/neutered and can leave today.

• There are more animals available in our shelter than on our website, so please visit us in person to see everyone who needs saving.

• WE ALSO NEED FOSTERS, both temporary and long-term. Joining our foster team is done quickly and easily online.

Donations: We are consistently taking in 300+ animals a week. This volume is higher than we’ve ever experienced and is more than BARCS is budgeted for. We are struggling significantly with our increased medical and care expenses. Please, if you can, give today.

If you cannot adopt, please, please, please share this info in hopes that it will reach someone who can. These animals deserve a good outcome, but we can't do it without our community’s help… YOUR help.

Thank you.
