The feed corner got completely filled by customer round up donations at the S and J mobile cafe! For the month of November, round ups raised just shy of $100, which covers feed for 63 animals for about 4 days. We really appreciate any donations made. Pennies add up. The more you do for us, the more we can do for them!

That look that says, "I'm seriously about to mess you up". He is a handsome dude though.
Especially heading into winter, we get a lot of calls for abandoned roosters. They get left on freeway exists, in campgrounds, or just released into the neighborhood and forgotten. They don't deserve it.
I'm happy to help with rehoming if you end up with an unwanted rooster in your flock. Just reach out!

Free brewers grain! Great supplemental feed for animals. My chickens, goats, and pigs thoroughly enjoy it. Don't bother rsvping. I'm parked at the junction (chevron in valle) from now until 2 or 3pm. Blue Toyota tundra that looks like its been through hell. Black tank is half full and theres a small shovel in there. Just hop in there in scoop it out. There are a couple pre-filled bags for those that might struggle with scooping, and some empty bags if you don't have containers. If you ARE capable of scooping and/or have your own containers, leave the bags for others please.

The dog will bark. It's "his" truck and he doesn't like visitors. Just ignore him but please don't taunt him. Also, don't put your fingers through the window. They may be missing upon removal.

Pull loofah when stem end begins to brown or after first frost.

Hang in cool dark area to dry until brown all over. You should also be able to shake it like a maraca and hear the seeds. It's awesome, like a mini rain stick.

Peel off outer shell to expose skeletal structure.

Save seeds for another productive year!

These loofah will be sliced into hockey puck shapes, and encased in goat milk soap to have a built in scrubby. Since they have to cure 6 months, it's a great winter activity.

Welcome guys! 8 new residents at Galaxy View Farms. It's almost winter, which means animal surrenders and dumping will be at its height soon. Please contact us instead of dumping. We only find a percentage of animals that are reported to us as abandoned. And so many are never seen or reported. Let's give these animals a chance.

Damn pack rat ate through my watermelon vine, so we decided to have a snack. It was absolutely delicious. It may be small but the flavor was mighty! And we were scraping our teeth on the rind...it was good all the way down to the dark green. Thinnest rind I've ever seen. Can't wait to try them again next year. I'm thinking pickled rinds 🤔

Osa's mom was abandoned in Flagstaff just days before giving birth. Today, the last of her puppies has found her forever family! I'm so happy to have them all go to loving homes. I hope we get updates, because I'll sure miss all the babies 🥰
