Abby's Mutt Hut offers a wide range of full service grooming options for your dog or cat. We believe in giving every pet the individual attention they deserve during the grooming process. Limiting client interactions to the outdoors allows us to keep our employees and clients safe and comfortable during these uncertain times. Please wear a mask if you are able when interacting with our staff. We o

ffer a cage-free option for your pup, to socialize and play with other dogs, provided that they can first pass a behavior analysis test. **Any dog showing the slightest sign of aggression or discomfort will be isolated immediately. At Abby's Mutt Hut, we only use high quality, pH balanced, made in the USA products-- you can rest assured that while your pet is in our care, they will be pampered, loved and treated as if they were our own. In addition to pet trims and breed-standard grooming, we also offer creative grooming services. We specialize in both temporary and permanent color options for your dog utilizing products specifically made for your canine companion, containing no hazardous chemicals or harsh parabens in the dyes. Abby's Mutt Hut isn't only for dogs, though. We offer a wide variety of options for cat owners as well. From a simple brush out and sanitary trim, to a full-on lion shave and a bath, we customize our services to your cat's individual needs.

🛁Tomorrow 1/3 at 4:30 for a de- shed any size dog
🐾 Thursday and Friday- a few openings still left for Cat grooming, small dog haircuts and one large dog de-shed.
🥳 SATURDAY 1/6 we are open and have a variety of grooming spots still available.

We REALLY DO need to confirm EVERY appointment from now on
💸 missed appointments and last minute cancellations are DRAMATICALLY driving up the cost of doing business, especially with our one-on-one atmosphere. Our hand was forced into this decision- but we just can't afford to take the gamble anymore: If one person a day thought their appointment didn't matter it costs our small business almost 20k a year 😢

📲 A reminder/confirmation text is sent 5 days before your appointment, and once again the morning before: if both are unanswered my assistant calls and texts from our shop phone as well. She is required to confirm your appointment no later than 3pm the business day before. Despite this we are STILL having far too many wasted appointments, or day-of ⌚cancelling.

💕If you haven't been here in a while it IS your responsibility to make sure the contact information we have on file is up to date- and to put your appointment in your calendar.

🥺Returning clients with outstanding balances (this includes Late cancellation and No-Show fees) your overdue balance will need to be paid BEFORE we can make you another appointment for 2024: those with pre-booked appointments, unanswered phones AND unpaid balances are subject to having their future appointment(s) cancelled.

Any returning clients with repeat no-shows may be required to pay a $35 deposit to hold their appointment spot. Exactly like we do for new clients, this will go towards the cost of your pets groom day-of, and is completely refundable with 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment.

We are open today! Sat 16th ! Stop in ✨ before 3pm✨ without an appointment for: a nail trim, sanitary shave (aka potty area) glands, or ear cleaning !! Call or text 734-771-6673 when you arrive and we will come out to your car to greet you :) these services usually cost approx $10 to $15 each and will only take a few minutes: we bring your pet right back to your car when we are finished. We remain carside after 2020 because our entryway is narrow and easily crowded- coordinating the Pet's entrance one at a time allows us to ensure a calm and safe experience from start to finish.

A fuzzy surprise 😍

Does Your dog like to let the fur fly? Our coat-specific de-shedding shampoo and conditioner loosens the undercoat at the follicle- most effective when done every 6 to 8 weeks- this process allows the coat to breathe more easily: reducing the occurrence of "hot spots" in wet weather. Double coated breeds can take FOREVER to air-dry after playing in the snow and mud: keeping their coat properly cared for will keep their skin healthy, prevent itching and overheating, reduce dry time, and time spent vacuuming your house, too 😁 XoXo Nala groomed by Caitlin, Hannah, and Abby

THIS is one of the many reasons why one-on-one appointments matter to us so much: puppy's first visit to the groomer and I got the accidental opportunity to be the one to teach Miggy how to accept the clippers near his face, and you can see the transformation he makes in just six minutes of patience and persistence: from fearful and trying to get away from me, to kisses and wagging tail after we shave out his eye booger (see Comments for finished pic) Puppies go through two fear periods in their first year of life: at 8/10 weeks old, and once again around 6mos -10mos of age. Miggy is 5 months old and right on the cusp of his second fear period- these moments of learning are so crucial for young pets- it is so important that the experience is pleasant for them.

The feline 🐈 A Majestic, Graceful, predator. And then...there's Malf... I say it's short for Malfoy, but really- "MALFunction" is more accurate 🤦‍♀️ 🤣🥰 I love his empty head so much 😂
