My friends new rescue pup named Ford. What a sweet old man he is. Haven’t gone for any walkies yet but I did give him a massage while we relaxed to 80’s music one day. He was having some anxiety and needed a human for a bit. 🤍

Introducing this weeks pup pair, Admiral BOOM and Dixie!

Admiral is a lover, everyone is a best friend. Especially if you happen to have cheese. 🧀 🤣

Dixie…. Is scared of her own shadow. And everything else in the world. I’m one of the select few she doesn’t run from. While the family is taking a much deserved vacation I am walking the puppers.

Dixie went from tolerating me yesterday to licking my hand and taking a cookie from me today, so HUGE progress. The key is not to rush her and let her come to me when she’s ready. She’s a very good girl and I feel honored to be part of her itty bitty trust circle. 🤍

Non horse people: those are fly masks to keep the bugs out of their eyes and ears. They are mesh and completely see-through, their owner isnt making them blind. 🤣

Gravy & Buttercup…. The guinea pigs belonging to some of my most favorite people. They are so happy to see me. Ok they are happy to see the romaine I bring them… but I love watching them crunch away at it. 🤍

New clients Bill & Chuck!
They are a pair of hermit crabs that need a set of eyes on them while their people are away.
I had a crash course in hermit crab life… they like freshwater, saltwater, organic mealworms, a heating pad, and being misted twice daily. They are also nocturnal!
The crabbies will be living at my house for a week, these are the first creatures I have boarded here because I have my own zoo. Looking forward to learning more about them!

Lets talk about cat litter.

I HATE cat litter. It smells. Its heavy. Its dusty. And thats fresh out of the bag!
Once its used… is even smellier. And heavier. And somehow… still dusty.

I have used the below horse bedding for my cats litter box for YEARS. It’s heavy because its a 40lb bag that last for weeks (or months, if you only have one tidy cat). It smells fresh and absorbs kitty odors. And it is not at all dusty.

How to use: these are pellets. Fill litter box halfway. Add water to let the pellets “soak” about 10 minutes, and then fluff them with a litter scooper. Done.

My daughter scoops the box out twice a week and does a full overhaul every 10-14 days.

When my boyfriend switched his cats to this I believe he did a mix to get them used to the texture and such. Pellets on bottom, fluff, some litter on top because thats what they know.

Also - cat litter is EXPENSIVE. This bag here? Only $7. 😳

Maxi and Daisy, two of my frequent pups.
I visit them twice a day when their mom is away. They use p*e pads so don’t require walks, just food, water, and playtime.
Maxi is a bit older and sometimes requires medication and/or special food. And occasionally needs to be reminded that he likes to eat that food. There are times we listen to books while waiting for him to rediscover a love of kibble… he seems to like thrillers & suspense novels the best. 🤣

Eddie, my first client. He crossed over the rainbow bridge earlier this year but without him and his mama, I may never have gotten started.

The ‘Eddie turndown service’ alarm will remain in my phone indefinitely. This was my notification to let him out for a bedtime p*e, set the timer on the tv, fluff his blankets, and give him a bedtime snack. I have used the alarm for other dogs… but none are my Eddie man.

Finally started a FB page 🙂
My niece gave me the idea for the name (after hearing ‘Auntie Rae’ in the car for two hours) 🤣

I’m in Flemington and can travel to the surrounding areas. I currently have clients in Pittstown, Milford, Readington, Clinton, and Ringoes.

Dogs and cats are the majority of my clients. I also care for horses, small furries, and reptiles. References are available and reviews are appreciated!
