Lot of folks were asking where exactly Elizabeth was found so we wanted to share this map. What we know for sure is that she traveled at least as far as the coyote/wildlife feeding station and then on the opposite side of the rest stop is where we captured her. She was seen on our cameras and the drone in the wooded area between the rest stop and I-40. So this gives you all a better idea of what a huge travel pattern this little 10 lb’r with 3” legs was doing! She made us work for her that’s for certain!

We would like to share with you what happened on the way home from Claremont same day we found Elizabeth. So around midnight not far from where I live I found a young cat curled up in the road. She obviously had been thrown from a vehicle, very traumatized and injured. We were able to get her to the vet and she was released from the hospital Thursday and now she’s in our Rescue (Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue). Meanwhile Kelly was busy trapping a stray Doodle that had been dumped and running the roads for several weeks. He was a matted mess so we got him to the vet, shaved him down and all vetted. He, too, is now in our Rescue.
Both of these animals, Riley & Spencer, will get a second chance and a fresh start… and guess what?? THIS all happened because of the donations we received from your followers and some local followers that we have in our area. We couldn’t have done this without the support you all gave. People like to see where their donations are going so we wanted to share with you how your support gave us the ability to help two animals in need before we even got home that night. Rescue is never ending so please just keep us on your radar when donating for the animals as we are fully committed to helping as many as we possibly can ❤️

This is the not for profit arm of Tucker K9 Search and rescue that caught Elizabeth for us. Please consider making a donation in her name. We paid for our search and drones ourselves, but some families cannot afford it and some dogs have no one advocating for them. That would be a great legacy for everyone!

Thank you all so much for your kindness! We are elated that Elizabeth survived this ordeal and we were able to get her back home safely. We had some help from the wonderful community keeping an eye out for her and also from Stephanie & Wes never giving up hope! Tucker K-9 Search & Rescue is our Lost Pet Recovery service and we also are founders of Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue which is our 501(c)3 non profit rescue. We work hand and hand together as many of our Tucker K9 cases are pro bono cases involving strays that end up with Pawsitive Impact. When this happens we vet them, including spay/neuter, get them healthy and adoption ready. So as far as donations we own both so either is fine but if you’d like a tax receipt you’ll need to donate to Pawsitive Impact or if you write a check that will need to be made out to Pawsitive Impact but otherwise donating via Tucker K9 is perfectly fine too.

There are times in your walk with God when you ask Why. The last 30 days of my life I’ve asked that question, sometimes a dozen times a day. I’ve cried and lost hope. I’ve prayed and believed, for Elizabeth was seen so many times. Today is the day I rejoice and Praise God! And I’ve promised to give God all the glory. Thank you Tucker K 9 Search and Rescue. They never gave up! They are angels!!!
