when you train your dog for obedience, for rally, lure or dock diving you build a bond with your pet. At the Dog House we try to offer you lots of ways to enjoy your pet.

With nearly 50 yrs of experience teaching obedience classes, i have been lucky enough to work with many breeds, solve lots of problems and enjoyed new friends as we show in obedience, work dogs in schools and see pets become therapy dogs or dock divers or awesome pets!

we will start a new beginners class this Saturday at 9 with orientation with no dogs to go over safety tips, training issues and make sure we are the right class for you. Come join us and check it out!!

$150 for obedience training for the life of your dog. train, Don’t complain!!

i see a lot of people reaching out for pet sitters at their home or the sitters home. please keep this in mind - a professional pet sitter will carry insurance and be bonded, making it safe for them to come into your home. we all have friends who we can pay, folks we know and trust. but if you are reaching out to strangers make sure your going to be ok. recommendations are great, what is their back up plan if they get sick or their car breaks down.

our current beginners class will meet today at 9;)! this new info is for our next class, we will still get together a couple more times!!

our next Saturday 9am obedience class will start on June 29 with orientation! our current beginners class will move till 10 and try out the advanced class!!

our beginners class lasts for 6 weeks, including our first meeting orientation where you learn about the proper leash and collar, how to solve problems at home and decide if you think we can help you!

beginners class covers heel, sit, down, stand, stay and come when called - we will learn switch (moving your heel position, give you a chance at the pool before and after class, even explain the fetch and fit dog program!).

come enjoy your dog!! make new friends, kids are welcome!!

cost is a one time fee of $150 for the life of your dog!!

June 14, 2024 to prepare for our event on Saturday we’ll play games and get the dogs in the water Friday 4pm to 8pm! thank you Pet Supplies plus for their donations for prizes, our crew for planning and coming up with games! we will play Duck Duck - Goose with our dogs $5 a try - your dog gets to jump in and pick a floating duck and you might win a pool membership! we’ll play games for your dogs who are jumping off the ramp but not ready for the dock - come have fun!! join us!!

for reasons not controlled by this sweet boy, he needs a new home. Jackson is 9, well cared for and loved German Shorthair Pointer. His family couldn’t take him and he’s been visiting with me. would you like to meet him?

Pool Rental Available

the pool is available for rental by the hour ($40 - venmo or cash) OR come spend summer time in the pool with your dog with our Annual Membership! we will have our Air Retrieve rig soon!!

1st fetch competition’

Our first Fetch event today!’ 16 new titles today alone!! Yes!! We will take part again tomorrow, Sunday Mar 3. And thanks to our friend Tina, they have allowed us to let folks who have not yet gotten an AKC registration take part and get that number later so EVERYONE who has a fetching dog is welcome to come out and sign up!!! A new sport, a fun time with your dog and when we are done try out our 50’ pool!! The weather is perfect to be outside and enjoy the sun, your dog and make new friends!!
