This is a greyhound comb! Your best friend. Issues that can happen due to matting….
Matting pulls the skin has the get worse and tighten. The skin can actually get bruised from the hair pulling so tightly. Severely matting on the ears can cause hematomas. Which means the weight change of the mats being shaved makes them shake their head’s severely to the point that all the blood rushes to the bottom of the ears and bleed.

Let’s talk about matting! This is a perfect example. Brushing the fur only gets the top layer of hair, so it looks all nice and brushed but in reality that brush is not getting down to the skin. Greyhound combs are what you need. The comb is a great finish to make sure all the tangles are put all the way down to the skin.
