Dr. Stephanie Bruner from Greater Cincinnati Veterinary Specialists retired officially back in May. Any of her patients please contact GCVS with any questions and to retrieve your records. Currently we are referring her patients to the Animal Dermatology Clinic Louisville. They also have a location in Cincinnati and Lexington.

**UPDATE - ADOPTED**
Roast is the last kitten of the Arby's Crew that is available. Sweet little 5 week old female kitten who will be ready to go home next week. She is the most outgoing of her sisters and loves to cuddle up with you. Her adoption fee is $60 which includes a negative FELV/FIV test, negative f***l check, first deworming, first vaccine, and her spay (which will be done at a later date). Feel free to reach out with any questions!
**UPDATE - ALL KITTENS ADOPTED**
A good samaritan noticed these kittens dumped in the Arby's parking lot and brough them to us. They have all tested negative for FELV/FIV and are happy healthy little ladys. They are about 5 weeks and will be ready to go home next week. Send us a message with any questions and feel free to share!

I am excited to announce a new addition to Middendorf Animal Hospital and Laser Centre, on June 10th, 2024 Dr. Nick Prather will be joining myself and Dr. Brittany Jones. This addition will help us see more patients in a timely matter. Dr Prather will be seeing exotic patients which expands our services. Please welcome him and schedule an appointment to meet him.

Nick is originally from Blue Ash, Ohio and attended St. Xavier High School. He graduated from the University of Kentucky where he earned a BS in animal sciences while also being a member of the UK Rugby Football Program. Nick attended the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2024. He has a passion for large, small, exotics and wildlife medicine and wishes to treat all species of animals. Some of his favorite animals to treat are goats, cattle, horses, birds, bearded dragons as well as dogs and cats but he will see all kinds of animals! Nick looks forward to rejoining the amazing staff at Middendorf Animal Hospital as a veterinarian after working many summers.

FOUND male unaltered black cat in Verona, Kentucky. He's extremely sweet and doesn't mind being picked up. No microchip but has a collar with no identification. At least 3-4 years old, definitely not a kitten. Please contact the office and feel free to share.

Boone County Sheriff’s Department K9 Mozart to get donation of body armor
Boone County Sheriff’s Department K9 Mozart will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Mozart’s vest is sponsored by Denise Nading of Anchorage, AK and will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Mel Nading Pilot of Helo 1”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and NIJ certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 5,514 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million, made possible by both private and corporate donations.
The program is open to U.S. dogs that are at least 20 months old and actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $985 will sponsor one vest. **FOUND** Unaltered Male Brindle/White Pitbull found running along Mall Road in Florence, KY near the Old Antique Mall. Super friendly and sweet. Knows basic commands. Not microchipped. Is around 1 to 2 years of age. Cropped ears.
A bystander noted that its possible he saw someone in a truck drop him off and left him so it's possible he was dumped or had just gotten away.
He will be cared for here at Middendorfs and be adopted out if owners are not found. Please share!!

SPOTLIGHT OF THE DAY! Little ray of sunshine Tortellini is enjoying time with her momma today. Just melting our icey hearts over here in this winter weather. What better way to get warm this season than a little cuddlebug? Kittens! Come on down and order yourself a side of Tortellini.
SPOTLIGHT OF THE DAY! Linguini here is stealing hearts left and right. 5 weeks old and what a handsome little man. He can already lift the heaviest can of tuna and protect his sisters from all the tom cats. Such a brave guy. Someone come on down and give this guy a home!
**UPDATE** All 5 kittens have officially been adopted and will be going home in the next couple of weeks. Thank you to all the people who have shared the post.

CAT FOR ADOPTION
A neutered male cat who is estimated to be around 2-3 years of age available for adoption! He is super sweet and just wants to be loved on. Unsure how he interacts with other animals but he seems like such a nice boy we don't think he'd have any problem fitting into a nice household. Contact us for an inquiries or questions.
