Hey Everyone!

We are very excited to announce that we have added AKC MAS to our program! The current litter’s parents AKC papers are on the way. This litter (and future litters) will be eligible to be registered as not only ASDR Toy / Mini Aussies but also as AKC Miniature American Shepherds. 🥳

The puppies from the Halloween Litter have their 8 week Vet appointment this morning so be sure to check back this weekend for updates!

Lollipop / Lolly is a 7 month old red tri female with a docked tail purchased from another program as a prospect for ours. The original plans for her have changed. We were going to switch our Merles and Tris around but ended up not doing that, so as a result, our program won’t be able to use her to her fullest potential. She is genetically clear by parentage. Tends to be reserved with strangers, and loves to keep you company, has a sassy side, is very engaged, and loves cuddles. Gets along with everyone. Heavily socialized (dogs, cats, kids, etc), and is almost fully house broken. Won’t break 11” in height, and will stay under 14 lbs.

Can you believe that the puppies are 7 weeks old now?

Photos were taken Friday, November 8th.

We have four separate videos taken since Halloween photos post (Oct 31st).

I’m sorry guys that it took me a bit to get all uploaded. Let’s just say that life has been giving me a lot of lemons lately and my famous lemonade maker stopped working for a little bit. Those that know me in person know that I’m just not lucky when it comes to physical health and that I’m Deaf and going completely blind (I’m down to less than 5 degrees of central vision) with SPMS. For my Deafness, I have a special hearing device known as Cochlear implants that allows me to hear almost as well as a hearing person when worn. Well, my Cochlear implant stopped working after Halloween, so I lost my ability to hear anything at all on top of other personal stuff and it’s been very difficult on me. I do my best to press on no matter what happens but losing my hearing… It will be a few weeks before a replacement comes so I’ve had to make a few adjustments in the meantime. Needed a few days away from all social medias, and just completely threw myself into the puppies, making sure they come pre-spoiled for their owners.

A note about the videos, in our house, we play a lot of different radios and sound tracks, so when I take a video of puppies, every time I upload a video, the various platforms such as Facebook or YouTube always ends up completely stripping my videos of their original sound track. Brad was able to sit down with me prior to this post and picked out the sound track replacements for the 4 videos.

If you are considering committing to one of the furbabies, and want to set up a few video calls prior to pick up / drop off, just let us know and I’ll be sure to have someone that can hear be available 💕

Anyhow, the first video was taken on Sunday night, Nov 3rd, it is in essence a “Good night puppies” video as I was saying goodnight to everyone before adding their bed for the night and wrapping things up. 💕

The second video was taken on election night, Tuesday, Nov 5th, following their bath that they get every Tuesday night. We love getting down on the floor with them and letting them really run around every night 💕 Don’t mind the teenager in the corner, she’s a little camera shy. 😜

The forth video was also taken yesterday morning, November 11th. I wanted to show y’all the typical morning zoomies that the puppies go through, they sure make us laugh a lot. 😂 Funny how after 45 minutes the puppies are mellowed out and pretty much ready for late morning cat nap. ☺️ Enjoy!

To update on the puppies progress, they are a couple days away from being fully weaned off mama’s milk and are doing Pawesome on kibble. The foundation of their personalities have begun to take a firm hold. For your consideration, I have updated all available puppies’s descriptions to include their personalities on our GoodDog platform. 💕

Everyone’s been doing fantastic with weekly baths, nail trimming, daily socialization with family members of various ages (both 2 legged and 4 legged ☺️) several times a day, daily exposure to various things from funky music at various decibels to “scary house things” such as the famous vacuum (lol). A couple have taken a fancy to chasing the broom around as well. 😂 We have been giving them various obstacles to navigate for fun too. To that effect, I’ll say we’ve a few very strong agility prospects here! 😄

Hey hope everyone’s been doing well! We’ve got some catching up to do here folks, and for that, I am very sorry. Three family members were very ill which left no time for social media in between taking care of all furbabies, sick people, while personally recovering from walking pneumonia on top of other ongoings.🙈 Not completely out of the woods but getting there.

All puppy inquires have been put on hold temporarily and all will be responded back to over the weekend sometime. While communication has been maintained with reserved puppies’ owners via text, we still wanted to roll out this update so that everyone is in the loop.

Photos were taken Thursday, Oct 17th, the individual puppy videos were taken Friday Oct 18th, and the pen video was taken Saturday Oct 19th, so all media content in this post are from when puppies were 4 weeks old (they turned 5 weeks old yesterday)

We will be doing updated photos and videos for week 5 sometime over the next few days and are excited to show the puppies’ development progress so be sure to keep tuned! 😄

The puppies are going though lots of changes! Their teeth have all fully emerged, all are eating solids & water supplemented with nursing. Everyone’s motor skills have come a long ways since the last update, and are even able to pull up and crawl over low barriers. Socialization has already begun and puppies are handled multiple times a day and we’ve started on some desensitization practices such as wearing different types of clothes, sunglasses, hats, and playing various sounds on Bluetooth speakers, and introducing them to different types of toys. Most heavily favor the squeaky plush toy kind right now. 😄

Last Saturday, it was time to take the whelping pool out, so I took it out and half way during setting up the new sleeping quarters, I stopped to take a break and to let puppies wander a bit before I finished up on the rest and decided to take the opportunity to clear out enough space on my phone to take a short video. Puppies are now 3 weeks old as of yesterday and there has been many new developments since the last update!

All puppies’ eyes, ears have opened, and their teeth are emerging. They are consistently getting better at walking and are going to bathroom on their own. Their personalities have begun to develop while they are becoming more and more interactive with each other, and learning to play. The puppy sounds are just too precious! The puppies are a week old now and they have just about doubled in weight / size! It is more apparent now on who will likely be on the smaller side and who will likely be on the larger side, but all are very consistent in their development. Last week’s trip to the vet yielded no surprises, as all passed health check with flying colors. All have had their few claws removed, and only two puppies had their tails docked (Twilight’s Delight and Trick or Treat). Hard to believe that pretty soon their ears and eyes will open. Right now they are still completely dependent on their mama who is doing a Pawesome job in keeping them fed, warm, clean and safe! 🥰

In the meantime, for those new to puppy development, the puppies currently are spending a lot of time sleeping, dreaming about their new families that they’ll meet some day, nursing every couple of hours so they can grow “big” and strong. Their motor skills are developing, so they pull, crawl, roll to get around until they are strong enough to start walking. It’s so endearing to see. Their eyes and ears are born closed, so while they cannot hear or see mama, they are able to seek out heat, use their developing sense of smell, and reflexes to locate her. Skylee, as always, is being a Pawesome mama with her nurturing and attentive nature, and is producing lots of yummy milk for the puppies while keeping them clean as a whistle. 🥰

We’re patiently waiting for Boo X Skylee’s puppies to arrive. Skylee has been nesting, so I put in one of the old towels (It’s clean, obviously) in the whelping pool to give her something to push around on / nestle with before the puppies come. She’s been much happier since and is no longer messing with the whelping rug. ☺️ We are ready to meet the furbabies!

Their puppies are est to be between 13”-15” tall, 15-20 lbs upon maturity. We will be seeing Black Tris and Blue Merles only, as while Boo is red factored, Skylee is not. Both parents are 100 percent clear by Paw Print Genetics and are clear for NAD by Purdue University. Chances for blue eyes across the board are very high. Based on the parents personalities, the puppies will be very affectionate cuddlebugs that are medium to laid back in energy level. They’ll possess high intelligence and obedience, with the desire to truly bond with their person and have the ability to easily adapt to any lifestyle. Without a doubt, they’ll be great Emotional Support Animal (ESA) prospects along with being great unconditionally loving family members just like their half siblings that came before them.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope that y’all had a fantastic Independence Day yesterday! 😄 After a bad stretch of an awful flare up episode with my illness (definitely one of the worst ones I’ve had in quite awhile), I finally was able to get updated photos of the puppies. Jurassic World Litter Update

Puppies are now 4 and half weeks old! All are doing Pawesome! They have undergone ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) during their first few weeks, have had weekly nail trimmings / filings, and recently have been lightly introduced to bathing via wash cloth. The puppies are and have been handled and cuddled with daily by the adults and the kiddos. They have already begun to sample solids and are progressing really well. Personalities are starting to take shape. Boo and Nekton did a great job! There are 10 photos per puppy (I think I’m getting the hang of my camera?), I hope y’all enjoy them! 😄

Candy Litter Update

The puppies had their 8 week vaccinations & deworming done on Tuesday, and all passed health check with flying colors. The staff all absolutely adored the puppies and wanted to take them all home with them as always 🥰

Yesterday afternoon, my youngest daughter took quick photos of the puppies for me (it sure clouded up fast!) as we wanted to beat the incoming rain and knew it was the last time we’d get a chance to take individual photos of each puppy before they started heading off to their new fur-ever homes starting this morning.

All of the puppies are all set for the next chapter in life (one recently just left already) and are excited to meet their new owners 😄 We sure will miss them!

All of the puppies in the Candy Litter have all been reserved, and either have already been picked up or are pending pick up. We however do still have puppies available from the Jurassic World Litter at the Posts’ house in Milaca. They sure are cute and lively! A new update for the Jurassic World Litter will be rolled out soon as things settle down a bit over the next couple of days.

Candy Litter Update

Whew! There are simply not enough hours in the day lately. Seems like I keep misjudging when I’ll have time to get on social media lately 🙈 This past week was crazy busy with a lot of events from end of school year, daughter birthday, and gatherings, all the while making sure that each furbaby gets equal time with us, every single day. This is the very first chance I’ve had to actually get on social media & post an update! 😅

Puppies are 7 weeks old and are having the time of their lives learning about a lot of things. It is truly a privilege watching them grow. Regrettably, between the ongoings, the weather and my pesky disabilities, I was not able to secure any viable individual photos (all too dark or overexposed from flash with red eyes- yuck) so I just focused on getting videos. Was able to seize an opportunity for a group photo though!! 😄 Thank you to my daughter, Calena, for taking the photo on Friday evening 😄💜

Late Afternoon Fun - Candy Litter - 5/31/24

(Info: We try to bring the puppies outside daily -weather permitting- with all of the safety protocols in place and try to choose a different “spot” every time to expose them to various terrains, sounds and smells. As always, the puppies had a good time. Bazooka in particular was a bit tired though 😂 he’s an afternoon napper. This was taken Friday afternoon, May 31st.)

The puppies get to go to their fur-ever homes starting this Wednesday afternoon, June 5th. They will all have their final check up & vaccinations on Tuesday afternoon, June 4th. It is a bittersweet time for us. Bitter, because we are going to miss them very, very much, and this is Gemma’s last litter. Sweet, because we are excited for owners to meet their furbabies & know they are in for many years of delight, joy and fun with their furbaby.

The puppies current size line up are as follows:

Butterfinger - Currently is the largest
Bazooka - Second largest
Ring Pop and Jelly Bean are neck to neck, although Ring Pop has gained some height over Jelly Bean.

All are doing GREAT on solids, are completely comfortable and enjoying an hour of relaxation in their kennels at meal times. We have stepped up on noise desensitization to prepare them for different things that they may or may not encounter later on. The once a week bath & nail clippings are a total breeze. All love the snuggles on the sofa or/and the bed in late evenings before they get put back in the pen for the night. They have also been enjoying visits from our small circle of very frequent house visitors & helpers of various ages (all safety measures such as disinfecting beforehand are always taken) 💕

Keeping my fingers crossed for a sunny day photoshoot this week before any leave where it doesn’t cloud up outside the moment I get the chance to set up! 🙏

Jurassic World Litter Update

Puppies are 2 weeks and half old today and all eyes have opened! We have blue eyes across the board (a couple may be marbled) and all puppies are doing fantastic! They are all thriving, very lively, and Nekton has been a great mama!

Brad and I went over to visit the Jurassic litter at Catherine’s and I had a very good photoshoot, so as a result, we have quite a few photos to share. 😄 Enjoy!!

Candy Litter Update

Happy Friday Everyone!

This will be a bit of a lengthy update, so please prepare yourselves for a little reading. 🙃

We sold our Lightbox to Catherine to use for the future litters at her house so we wouldn’t have to bring it back and forth, and bought a smaller one for here. I went to try it out on Tuesday, unfortunately the lighting was a major let down and despite everything that Calena and I had tried, photos did not turn out at all and were too dark to even attempt to “brighten” in post processing. So we are waiting for the additional alternative lighting sources to come in the mail before trying the Lightbox again (or any indoor pics). Chances are we won’t use the Lightbox until the next litter as the Candy Litter is much more active and the weather has been mostly favorable so we will be focusing more on outdoor shoots.

Was going to try doing a photoshoot on Wednesday since Tuesday was a bust, unfortunately with the rain, it set off a bad M.S. bout, so the puppies and I just hung out and cuddled while I recovered. 💕 Their cuddles and snuggles sure help! 🥰

Was still shaky yesterday morning, but fortunately was feeling better by the afternoon and it was a really nice day out, so once I had help, we set up a little pen outside & brought the puppies out two hours prior to their PM feeding schedule and hung out for a little over an hour.

The video shows how they are progressing in adjusting to a “new set up”. It’s taking them on an average of 5 minutes to adjust and become more like their normal selves as opposed to last week which was an average of 15 minutes to adjust to a new setting.

The phone memory ran out before I reached 20 minutes and had to switch over to the canon camera for quick photos (need to get a longer range lens before I will have the ability to use the canon camera for taking videos).

Next time I will be waiting until they have settled in before starting to record so y’all can enjoy more funny moments 💕

The photos posted are posted in the order taken, and regrettably, I had to really rush as the pesky mosquitoes were getting worse as the evening progressed. I did not want to make them suffer them while trying to figure out the best settings for outdoor pics. These photos have only been cropped, the shadows brightened, and the Clarity set to 30 in post processing. So, since it was so rushed, and since they go through very rapid changes over the next couple of weeks, I am going to work on doing more frequent photoshoots to help y’all follow along in their progress 💕 I won’t always be able to upload on the same day taken due to the importing process, but they will get posted.

I want to take a moment and thank our clients in particular for their patience during this “new camera” phase, especially with my phone no longer being reliable for photos. A cousin of mine who is a professional photographer has generously offered for me to come and visit her to go over my camera & to give me pointers so I can bring y’all the best quality photos of the precious furbabies! 🥰 I am hoping to take her up on her offer this Sunday, depending on her availability.

Back to the puppies, they are doing great with weekly baths, nail trimming / filing, brushing, and are taking to the solids very well. They have been lightly introduced to crating by eating their meals in individual puppy kennels. Their toys have been and are rotated out every couple of days to keep things fresh and to continue exposing them to various sounds, textures, and smells. They are now at that age where they’re getting longer one on one sessions to begin weaning them of their dependency on each other and be that much more prepared for their fur-ever homes. The next couple of weeks is going to be very busy for them, in all stages. 😄 Funny how every single litter Gemma’s had, the first 5 weeks are pretty slow then at 6-10 weeks they seem to progress very rapidly! Hard to believe this is her last one. Right now, Butterfinger is the heaviest, 2nd largest. Bazooka is the largest, 2nd heaviest. Jellybean is same as Ring Pop in size and is the 3rd heaviest, and Ring Pop is the lightest.

Currently, at this point the puppies’ personalities (which changes from week to week still) are as follows:

Butterfinger: Cheeky, affectionate, and really likes the toys. Likes to pose for pics.

Ring Pop: Quiet, a bit timid at times but curious, a cuddler, and playful.

Bazooka: Bold, slightly vocal, rumble and tumble kinda lil dude, very friendly

Jellybean: Favors people over siblings whenever choice is presented to her, can be timid at times but aims to please, and really likes to observe & cuddle (I think she’ll be a tv watcher when she’s older).
