My talented father in law designed this wicket for me! It’ll be useful for tracking & charting puppy growth but to also ensure that our adults stay within the height range allowed by the AKC breed standard. For Miniature Schnauzers that is 12-14inches. Anything outside of that is considered a disqualification.

Just wanted to share a post to highlight this special girl!

Maggie is fully health tested beyond the OFA CHIC program recommendations and is free of all relevant health conditions. She is vocal when excited, yet extremely biddable, devoted, loving, and drivey in all the right ways. Those gears in her head spin faster than that of most humans lol. Standing at 12” and weighing 15 pounds, she is on the smaller end of the breed standard. She has a correct harsh, wirey coat when handstripped and is petite and fast on her feet! Maggie is what I’d consider to be an ideal sport dog but also a beloved pet. She is always down for an adventure with us or is content with a good snuggle on the couch. If we didn’t live in a dog sport dead-zone I’d probably pursue agility with her.

Aside from bringing her fabulous temperament to the table, she offers some much needed genetic diversity which is a crucial part of preserving the health of this amazing breed. The average genetic COI in the Miniature Schnauzer is between 24-33% according to Wisdom Panel and that is far too high IMO. The AKC recommends that breeders aim for 10% or less. Part of my plan for my program and one of my long term personal goals is to work on reducing that number while still focusing on structure and temperament which is why my first in house litter will be with Hank & Maggie.

Mega-mouth Maggie earned her first fast cat title today at Royal Canin down in Orlando during the Non-Invited trial. She is now Deal’s Steel Magnolia at Poplar Creek BCAT TKI VHMP VSWB Chic187840

Maggie had a blast at Dog Sports Unlimited this past weekend! She had to slam on the brakes to go wiggle her butt at our favorite photographer Edward Perry real quick before leaving the catch pen. I love this girl and her enthusiasm for life's adventures! That smile on her face is the very reason we do Fast Cat.

We entered an AKC show this weekend in Newberry FL. No points were awarded due to lack of entry (lots of absent entries..) but the dogs performed well and we had a good time with friends regardless. Hank took Best Opposite of Breed. We received some really nice comments from the judge for both Hank & Willow. She told me that she’s never seen someone handle dogs so well from a wheelchair. And she was very impressed when they readily climbed onto the table from my chair when cued to do so. That meant the world to me because we’ve put a LOT of effort into trying to make this whole thing look smooth.

Conformation is not my thing. I much prefer other sports. But, I said I would do it to support our friends, so we did.

I am very excited to announce that we are in the planning stages for our first litter! I am starting a waitlist now. Deposits will not be accepted until puppies are officially on the ground. I expect this pairing to happen sometime in February with puppies ready to go home around June/July 2024 if everything works out.

Both parents are fully health tested well beyond OFA CHIC standards.

This litter will be raised using the Puppy Culture program and temperament tested using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. I’m an experienced Force-Free dog trainer and will be pouring my heart & soul into giving these babies the best foundation possible so that you receive the puppy best suited for your individual lifestyle and that the transfer to your home from mine is seamless. You’ll of course, have lifetime support from me as well!

Preference will be given to active pet and sporting homes. Interested in dog sports but not sure where to get started? We’re happy to help! Just want an adorable pet to love? That’s perfectly ok with us too. Both mom and dad have phenomenal temperaments and are just as happy to be in our laps as they are running Fast Cat!

This litter will be located in Folkston Georgia but transport throughout the US will be available. Puppies will be dual registered with AKC & UKC. They will have a health certificate from our veterinarian, age appropriate vaccinations, a health guarantee and contract, and will come with go-home bags full of incredible goodies for your new family member. All puppies will have their tails docked and dewclaws removed. We intend to send everyone home with natural ears but have recommendations for veterinarians who can crop should you choose to do so with your puppy.
