On March 4th I dropped this doe off at UF large animal hospital and didn’t think I’d ever see her again. She spent almost two weeks there, maxed out some credit cards, but pulled through. I picked up the shell of a goat that she once was on March 15. I was just happy she was alive and figured this year would be a wash. Next year. Maybe?

Today, less than a month after almost losing her, we had our appraisal and CH (pending) Nestor Acres MT Cathryn Sophia was 92EEEE!

There were some nice Nigerian scores too but y’all know I love my Toggs! Today is Cathryns day to shine 🥰

We weren’t able to bring goats to March Mini Madness but I did sneak away for the day to visit and support our favorite goat friends. One of the most rewarding parts of breeding goats is seeing them thrive in their homes. 40 West Farm Sparkles and 40 West Farm Mary Jane both took Grand Champion this past weekend!!! Emily and Lini Puentes manage and love them dearly and I couldn’t be happier for all of their success ❤️❤️❤️

We are back from our first ADGA National Show and what an amazing experience we had. I went in with zero expectations and just hoped to have an uneventful trip with healthy goats. We succeeded! Only 4 goats made the trip and 3 out of the 4 made the final cuts. Revelry was 11th place in the Toggenburg senior yearling class, Ollena was 21st in the Nigerian Dwarf 4 year olds, and Sativa was 21st in the Nigerian Dwarf 5-6 year olds. 40 West Farm Tan G Rine owned by Moon Station Nigerian Dwarfs joined Sativa and Ollena for the Get Of Sire group class representing Castle Rock Pineapple Express *B and placed 3rd. It was a wonderful yet grueling week shared with Elizabeth Labauve, and we are already planning for Harrisburg 2022!

Spent a fun holiday weekend away at the Southern Goat Breeders Association spring show in Carrollton, Ga. The Nigerians did great always placing in the top of their class and making it into the Grand and Reserve lineups most times, but the token Togg milker stole the spotlight and was Grand both times shown, Best Udder in Show in both rings, and Best In Show in one!
