Well, this weather is really throwing us off. We need some sunshine… I’ll do my best to get horses out this afternoon. But it’s just so wet.

Everyone is fed and in for the night, I’ll be back over later to change blankets on those with shorter hair.

They all were running around acting like fools. They need some time to cool down.

I decided to keep everyone in even the horses with shelter in the paddocks. It’s just too wet out and I don’t want someone to slip.

My blower battery died when I went to blow the aisle. I’ll be back over shortly to get it all cleaned up for the morning. Everyone is doing fine in the freeze. Water is still off this morning.

Everyone is doing fine and I got most of the horses outside today. Stalls are bedded, everyone is set and will have extra hay tonight. Many had leftover hay this morning. The barn was probably about 48 degrees this morning (about ten degrees warmer than outside). I’ll give them all electrolytes in their feed tonight.

It was supposed to rain all day so we kept everyone in this morning. Well it’s been sunny all morning so I just turned them all out.

I’m sure it will rain now.

I am going to harrow the arena this afternoon. I don’t want to make any ruts with the drag.. however, you are more than welcome to ride or lunge in it. It has a wet beach sand feel to it.

We are having rain off and on all day and the paddocks are very wet. I’m going to leave everyone inside today.

I have an early appointment and an errand or two to run while I’m
“In town” everyone was fed and turned out. I just wasn’t able to get to stalls before I had to leave. I should be back in an hour or two.

I am going to get who I can outside today but, most will probably be stuck inside again during the day.

Everyone was fed and stalls were cleaned. I’ll turnout as soon as I get back. Unfortunately, the blower battery died so the aisle is a mess. I’ll get it clean as soon as I get back.

I have to get the puppy to an appointment in the morning for his last round of shots. I am going to feed everyone and then do stalls and turnout as soon as I get back. I imagine it will be super cold anyway so it will allow it to warm up a bit before they go outside.

It is chilly today. I think I am going to keep blankets on everyone. I’ll keep an eye and make sure they don’t get too warm.

Just a little heads up, I’m trying to lay low today. I woke up with my back hurting and have no idea what I did. Stalls were cleaned, and we are in the normal routine but if anything is out of order today that is why.

Our little Moonshine Mobster making progress with his training. I am just so happy with him, he is calm, easy to handle, gentle and sweet. Jay hopped on him bareback and did a couple maneuvers on him yesterday. I think he’s going to be a little rockstar.
