Wags and wiggles is a training service provided in the Folsom area where we focus on obediance and behavior modifications.
Philosophy- I believe in comfort. It’s very important that the dog and owner are always feeling comfortable and confident with the actions we take during training. I do not believe in unnecessary tool use and force being used to get a certain reaction. The dog should always be happy and excited to train, I will not cause a dog to shut down. My methods are a mix of positive and balance. I believe some dogs can benefit from a prong collar and some benefit from an e-collar, other dogs are more than perfect in a flat collar or even a harness. No dog is the same, just as for people. I also do not use tools as punishment, if we are using a tool it is an extension of our communication. It is used as an aid, never a punishment.
My Mission- I will work with you and your dog to create a kind of bond that allows you to both understand each other fluently. I think it’s such a rewarding experience having a dog that “ just gets us”. Proper training allows us to learn to communicate with our dogs healthily and effectively.. which nourishes the relationship. It also allows your dog to experience more in their life.. who wouldn’t like to bring their well behaved dog to patio friendly restaurants? Allow them to romp through open fields feeling confident their dog is safe and will come back? Go on a walk at a nice pace not being pulled along or fearful to pass a dog due to reactivity?… I want to bring comfort to you and your dog.
