Tasha has over 20 years personal experience training dogs, and over 10 years professional experience. She got her start pet sitting for a neighbor’s poodle at $1/day as a little girl, and graduated to dog walking in 2010, and finally dog training in 2011. She had been volunteering her training expertise for REGAP, a greyhound rescue in Michigan, before moving to California and offering her services professionally. It truly is a calling for her, and her passion for force-free methods is a perfect example of her kindness, creativity, and encouraging nature when working with dogs and their owners.
Dog walking services are available from $25 - $65, depending on if you want 30, 60, or 90 minute walks. Packages are available if it’s going to become a regular schedule. Training on basic manners is included, and involves: sit, down, stay, release, focus, come when called, and leash manners. Every dog gets a report card after the walk, and time + distance are verified via an app. Tasha will even let you know if your dog “took care of business.”
She’s a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through the Do More With Your Dog organization by Kyra Sundance, and has experience with puppies, basic manners, obedience, tricks, beginning sports such as agility and nosework, service dogs, therapy dogs, emotional support dogs, and behavior modification for shy, reactive, fearful, and aggressive dogs. Tasha has put Advanced Trick Dog and Burnout Disc Dog Champion titles on her dogs. She hopes to compete with her golden retriever, Takoda in Rally & Obedience as well as get his CGC before he becomes a full-fledged service dog for her anxiety.
Tasha founded IDOGS, a Meetup group, to help dogs with socialization. You can prepare for the CGC test, the IAADP service dog public access test, and even help your reactive, aggressive, or just overly excited dog learn to get over their triggers -- whether it’s other dogs or people. It’s just $5/year membership that includes free hikes and access to members-only how-to videos, and the classes are a drop-in schedule of only $10.
