In an instant our home feels less complete and a bit emptier, our Tilly is gone.
We wanted so much to fix this but it couldn’t be fixed. She is now free of her broken body and has joined her sister Little Louise.
We will miss her so much.
Until we meet again. 💔

TODAY IS TILLY’S BIRTHDAY 🥳
Not so happy update.
Yesterday I received a call from Tilly’s vet, Dr Lipstock. He asked how she was and I explained she was once again is not interested in eating. She is still on her meds and hope this is a short term problem.
He consulted with the University of North Carolina, they explained that with her protein levels were they are and that she did respond positively to the medication that intestinal lymphoma is highly possible. To determine if in fact this is the case a biopsy would need to be done, however there is no treatment.
We will still pray for a miracle while being realistic. This is the part that is the hardest.
We want to thank Bon Air Animal Hospital and Dr Lipstock for the care and compassion they have given Tilly.

We have a new update on Tilly but we also still have questions.
The lab results came back and no cancer was found. YAY! However, we still don’t have an answer to what is going on and how to treat her.
The vet that she saw was on vacation so he did not call me with the results. I will be putting a call in to him next week to talk with him concerning this.
In the meantime she is still eating good, she is more active and feeling better.

UPDATE: All the cute chipmunk strips have disappeared. But all the piglets, boys and girls, still need a family of their own.

Girls. Born March 21, not yet spayed. They are really social and loving.
3 were chipmunk, now are mostly black one is dark brown the other girl is black and has the cutest little short snout.
We will ask that you complete an adoption application with Eastern Snouts Adoption and Rehome.
They need a family to love.

Tilly received a gift today! A box of unsalted peanuts and she loves them.

Another Tilly update, I believe the steroids are working. She actually has an interest in eating and finishes everything. Well, she does find her pills and manages to spit them out. 🙄 I just put them back in until all gone. 😜
This is a bit of a relief.

Tilly Update.
Needless to say it’s been a long day.
Blood work is done, ultrasound is done and some results but no answers or plan in place yet.
We have found out she is anemic, some of her lymph nodes are enlarged and weighs a mere 63 pounds. What we don’t know is why.
They also took fluid from the mass on her abdomen, that also with a blood sample is being sent to the lab for testing. We will have results in a week or so. The vet is also putting in a referral to UNC. We hope it won’t need to go this far but we want to be prepared.
In the meantime she will be on 4 different medications. Keep her in your prayers. She is not in good shape.

HELP NEEDED 🙏🏻
Tilly, one of our Suffolk pigs, is struggling. Despite her skin issues, her main concern is her inability to gain weight and low appetite. She weighs only 79 pounds and will turn three on June 29th.
Our farrier discovered a lump on her lower abdomen, and she has a gum tear. We took her to our regular vet, who filed her tusk down and drew fluid from the lump, but found nothing to be concerned about. However, Tilly's problem persists, and we are unsure why she can't gain weight.
We have scheduled her an appointment on June 6th with two vets at another veterinary hospital.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible, and we could really use your help with this expense. Her last visit cost just over $300 with no resolution. We want Tilly to be happy and healthy.
