We are accepting applications for an energetic, outgoing, friendly & passionate pet-loving Retail Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make EACH & EVERY customer feel welcome in our store will stand out. The position will require the candidate to identify customer needs, present items & answer questions about our products & recommend solutions. A POSITIVE & PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE & a desire to promptly resolve customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.
Ultimately, you will ensure that ALL customers leave our store satisfied & you will contribute to the store’s success.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Greet each customer & their pet(s) with a SMILE
• Assist customers with their needs
• Answer customer questions about specific products &/or features
• Provide accurate information (e.g., product features, product information, pricing, etc.)
• Answer questions in a polite & professional manner
• Conduct price & feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Cross-sell products
• Ensure the sales floor is a clean environment, neat & fully stocked for our customers daily
• Process customer purchases efficiently & professionally.
• Manage returns of merchandise
• Inform customers of discounts, special offers & special events
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Owner
• Stay up to date with new products
• Perform beginning & end of the day tasks (e.g., dust, mop, vacuum, general cleaning, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Must love pets!
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining exceptional customer service
• Ability to follow direction
• Have strong organizational skills
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Proven experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role
• Understanding of POS systems & cash/credit card-handling procedures
• Understanding of retail sales processes
• Familiarity with consumer-based principles
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Possess basic math skills
• Have a professional appearance
• Possess excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work some evening, weekends, holidays &/or during events/festivities
• Preferably 18 years of age or older
• Must have own reliable transportation
• Prompt, punctual, reliable & trustworthy
