Hot Honey Bourbon Wing Sauce 🍯πŸ”₯πŸ₯ƒ

πŸ“‹ Ingredients:
πŸ₯ƒ β…“ cup bourbon
🌢️ β…“ cup Frank's hot sauce
🧈 3 tablespoons butter
🍯 2 teaspoons honey
🍴 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
🀎 4 tablespoons brown sugar
πŸ… 6 tablespoons ketchup
πŸ‹ 1 tablespoon white vinegar
πŸ”₯ 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
πŸ§„ 1 Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
πŸ§… Β½ teaspoon onion powder

πŸ“ Directions:
1️⃣ Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
2️⃣ Add the rest of the ingredients to the saucepan and stir to combine.
3️⃣ Bring sauce to a light simmer, then stir and reduce the heat back to medium-low.
4️⃣ Cook the sauce, stirring occasionally, until the ingredients are well combined, 3-5 minutes.
5️⃣ Toss sauce with your preferred sauce delivery system (wings, tofu, cauliflower).
6️⃣ Freeze extra sauce for later use. Because of the bourbon, it does not freeze solid, so be sure to keep it in a well-sealed container.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes | Servings: Enough for about three dozen wings

Note About The Recipe:
This Hot Honey Bourbon Wing Sauce is a game-changer for wing enthusiasts seeking a departure from the classic buffalo flavor. The sauce combines the sweetness of honey and brown sugar with the rich depth of bourbon and a kick of heat from cayenne pepper and hot sauce. It's versatile enough to enhance not just wings but also tofu, cauliflower, and even hearty fish like salmon. The recipe is straightforward and quick to prepare, making it perfect for a spontaneous game night or a planned gathering. Remember, the sauce's consistency allows it to be frozen for future use, ensuring you're always ready to whip up a batch of flavorful wings.

The sweetness of the honey and butternut squash is complemented by tart cranberries, crunchy pecans, and tangy feta, making it an irresistible side dish for any occasion, especially during the fall and holiday seasons.

Ingredients:
1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed (about 4 cups)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Β½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Β½ cup dried cranberries
Β½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
ΒΌ cup crumbled feta cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Butternut Squash:
In a large bowl, toss the cubed butternut squash with olive oil, honey, cinnamon, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

3. Roast the Squash:
Spread the seasoned butternut squash in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 25-30 minutes, or until the squash is tender and caramelized around the edges. Toss halfway through for even cooking.

4. Toast the Pecans:
In the last 5 minutes of roasting the squash, spread the chopped pecans on the same baking sheet to toast them lightly.

Once the squash is done roasting, remove it from the oven and immediately sprinkle the dried cranberries over the squash. Let the heat from the squash slightly soften the cranberries.

6. Assemble and Garnish:

Details:
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 4-6

Tips:
You can substitute walnuts for pecans or use goat cheese instead of feta for a different flavor twist.

Because the Bee Informed Partnership (BIP) is no longer administering an annual Colony Loss and Management survey, the Apiary Inspectors of America has partnered with Auburn University to create a nationwide survey that continues long-term monitoring of key aspects of the US beekeeping industry and complements BIP’s efforts over the past 15+ years.

All US beekeepers aged 18 and over – from backyard hobbyists to those running multi-state commercial operations – are strongly encouraged to participate. The survey will take 15-30 minutes to complete, and provides the best data on colony losses and management practices across the country.

Visit the https://apiaryinspectors.org/US-beekeeping-survey for more information, and be sure to take the survey before midnight on May 31, 2024! 🐝
