It was doodle day!!!
So many doodles so little time 😜

Doodles are one of my favorite dogs to groom- doodles and poodles 😊🐾🐶

For me, today was a perfect day! For my coworkers, maybe not so much 🤦🏼‍♀️
Love you guys!

Doodles are notorious for not wanting their paws and legs touched. So that adds an extra element of fun!! 😂😂
90 % of doodles have these human like personalities.Nothing like a doodle side eye glance!

Maybe I like them so much because I can blend my past career life (hairstyles/massage therapist) with my current career path -
Dog Stylist 😊 Dog groomer,(608) 576-1575, and dog massage therapist. 😜😊 Not to mention all the other glorious job descriptions, like p**p picker-upper and and a**l gland specialist 😂😂 So glamorous!

We did have one non- Doodle today.

It is that time❤️❤️❤️

Valentine spa days!

I love what we do 💕

It is good to talk about the benefits of grooming. Here are a few 🐾🐶😊

1. Improvements of your dog’s hygiene- which is important for us as well as our fur babies.

2. Better skin health. Regular exfoliating will help with the overall health and appearance of your dog’s coat condition.

3. A boost in your dog’s confidence. When they feel good it improves their social confidence and interactions.

4. Better sleep. Regular grooming involves a calm routine that they get used to and can help improve sleep and relaxation. The warm bath and massage and the styling of the hair encourages mindfulness.

5. Allergy reduction. Regular grooming can help with allergies and skin conditions. We have custom products to help reduce inflammation and improve itching.

6. Socializing and improving mental health. A spa day is a time of opportunity for socializing and learning appropriate group behavior.

Start early in your dog’s life and keep on a regular schedule🛁🐶🐾

From Christmas to Valentine’s!
We had a lot of baths today and I was thinking how it might be a good time to send a reminder that you can always get a bath scheduled in between grooming appointments.
Highly recommend for keeping your fur babies in tip top shape.
Especially doodles! 😜🐶🐾

An ideal schedule is a bath every 4 weeks and grooming every 8 -
It is also a nice treat for your dog to just have that spa day in between a full grooming session.

A bath appointment includes a nail trim, bath and blowout, sanitary trim, face clean up, and of course the cute picture 😘 Also they smell so good! Win win for everyone!

Finally resting.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.. or a dog 😜🐶

This last month has flown by.
Actually the whole year has flown by! ❤️🐾🐶

What I want to say is “Thank you” so very much for the privilege and the opportunity to care for your furry loved ones 🐶
We are so grateful!! 🥹

Looking forward to the New Year and all that it brings.
We are looking for a building so keep your fingers crossed 🤞
I think we have slightly out grown our current situation 😊

Showing off some the beautiful dogs we have done this week!
I am going to miss the Christmas backgrounds!

I wanted to share a story about a dog that came to us on Monday.
Bella had been to a few groomers with little success.
Her Dad contacted me and said the vet had recommended that he call me and see if I could help.
Bella had a lot of trauma in her story before she came to her new owners. Bella had been crated most of her life, without much socialization.
Dad dropped her off and I had him help me get her on the table as she was immediately showing signs of aggression.
Dad left.
Bella let me take down her matted coat. Even do her nails. Then the bath, when I tried to get Bella out of the tub it was a no go! 🙅‍♀️ so I called Dad to come back and help me get her out of the tub. I asked him to stay for the rest of the grooming, to reassure Bella she was going to be okay.
I don’t usually have parents stay but this was a situation that needed accommodation.
Dad and I got through the rest of the blowout and the grooming AND we even took a great picture!
Dad was to grateful 🥹 ❤️

Bella will need a lot of patience and love to get her to not be acting out of fear, but it was a success!

I never will say no to a dog because I truly believe the behavior is usually based out of fear. Sometimes we have to pray for the best! 🙏❤️

Up late looking at all the work we did…
Thinking about the dogs and their stories ❤️❤️🙏
I absolutely love what we do- no matter what.
Honestly, the hardest days still bring joy.
I had a small dog bite me today- not a big deal. Job hazard 😜
I don’t know what it is within me but it just motivates me to find how to reach that dog.
The one that is scared,
or the “Lord knows what they have gone” through since they can’t use their words. 💕 Or they simply really dislike grooming.

This thing rises up within me and I just want to overcome with ❤️
Not every dog wants the same. I have had to stop grooming two dogs because my “super power” of love was not working… 😊

Mostly, like today, after the bite- (he was not a fan of nails or face trimming)-by the time we we are all done he was letting me hold him and gave me lots of kisses 🐶❤️ some dogs can be a little Jekyll and Hyde when it comes to grooming 🥰

Even the challenging days are rewarding ❤️

Another story of the day,
we were at the dog park this morning walking our pack,
and this beautiful black poodle came bouncing along with very cute short ears was running up to us, with his new haircut and I said “oh my goodness I love that- short ears”!! Thinking 🤔 to myself what a great looking dog, love that look etc…
I said to the pet parents, who turned out to be the grandparents, “ what is your dog’s name”?
To which they responded-“Aldo, you just groomed him last week”
🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤪😜🐶🐾😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤪🤪

So if you see me somewhere and I don’t register the adorable dog or you, please inform me! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Wowza- I don’t know 🤷‍♀️
The struggle is real ❤️

So grateful we have so many wonderful dogs and wonderful pet parents that are full of grace ❤️
