This is Ella’s second time EVER out in public, and she is very excited about people and allll the things lol. She did amazing, minimal correction for this girl.
Very very early stages of a command we’re working on with Athena. I won’t share what the finished result will be but she just started this last night. Btw no treats or lures are being used, only praise. As the first step she’s learning to crawl.
This is Cleo, and she’s been working on loose leash walking. Starting out she was jumping on you and pulling every which way, look how far she’s come so far. This was her second loose leash lesson
Look at that smile!! Athena dealt with some pretty big distractions today, machines running, dogs and birds!! She did amazing
King Tutt working with distractions this morning at Lowe’s. You have to excuse the quality of the video it’s very hard for me to record and work at the same time
Jade is a foster rescue puppy who will be looking for a forever home! Look how smart she is. Today is the first day EVER of training. Until now she’s been an Abandoned pup living the streets.
Lets talk about feeding time. Here are some things to keep in mind.
-Your dogs eat after you eat.
-Never feed two dogs together, even best friends fight! It only takes a second for something to change.
-Don’t leave your dogs unattended while they eat.
-Always ask a task of your dogs before feeding them. Use the “no free lunch policy “.
-Feed a good quality food and research your dogs breed to see if they have any special feeding needs.
-As you see my pups sit while they are getting their food and wait for us to release them. Cleo stood up early therefore she was corrected by me removing her food until she sat again.
Athena’s nails are definitely longer than we usually let them get but life has been crazy! With that said it was a perfect opportunity to show you a great way to do nails. We are a dremel family over here!!
First thing you should do when planningto use a dremel for your dog is desensitize them to it first. That means turning it on around them often while playing with their paws. Eventually start gently touching it to their nails a little at a time until over time you work up to using it.
Secondly if you’ve got a second pair of hands use a distraction!! We take peanut butter and rub it inside an old cup and let them go to town while we do their nails. Works perfectly!!
Have fun watching Joe do nails for the first time so I could record 😁
