🎉 In dog years, we’ve only had one birthday! 🐾
This year, Until They’re Home turned 7! We celebrated by moving into a new space, filling it with kittens, and helping countless pets like Maggie and Annie find their forever families. 🐶🐱
Now, we’re closing out 2024 with one last goal: raise $7,000 in honor of our 7th birthday! 🎂 Every dollar you give helps provide food, shelter, and medical care to pets in need—right when they need it most.

🐾We're a small but mighty team; every dollar is stretched to support creative solutions for homeless pets.
🐾 We’re on the ground floor of a growing problem with overpopulated and understaffed shelters and families needing rehoming assistance, housing solutions, and compassionate behavior support. Frankly, the current solutions aren't cutting it.
🐾We're a judgment-free 501(c)(3) non-profit organization using creative strategies to reduce Colorado's shelter population. Our mission involves solutions to keep animals from being surrendered to the shelter and support for local shelters to find loving homes for pets stuck in the shelter system.

We are thrilled to share that we are the GRAND PRIZE winner of Maddie's Fund Open Arms Challenge 2024. , $10K in prize money will go to creative solutions for homeless pets.

🐈 Meet the Hurricane Kitties 🐈
Emergency animal care during a major catastrophe is tough – but we have some good news to share! After the recent destruction from Hurricane Helene, twenty-one lucky kitties were transported to Fort Collins from Mountain Pet Rescue in Asheville, North Carolina.

Erica Paschold, the Director of Lifesaving Operations at Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville, shared this with us: "Hurricane Helene absolutely devastated our community. Right after the storm hit, no one was in a place to adopt. We didn't have power, internet, or potable water. We knew we had to move all of our pets to safety. We immediately began networking with our rescue partners all over the country. Molly [UTH’s amazing Executive Director] and I have been friends for nearly 15 years and I reached out to her for help. She quickly found a driver to come pick up 21 cats and kittens and drive them back to Fort Collins. I lived in Fort Collins from 2005-2013, and it was really awesome to be able to call on old friends and connections from that community to help us in this time of need. We are super grateful for that life-saving cat transport!"

Our amazing volunteer, Jerry Miller, drove all the way to North Carolina and back to Colorado to give these kitties the shelter and care they needed. Please join us in thanking Jerry for his amazing dedication and generosity. We are so grateful.
