I’m the cool kid on the block and know how to walk the walk and talk the talk. I am an 11 yr old Biewer Terrier looking for a loving home to retire in!

I’m really good at the other end of the leash. But you will have to be my eyes, (since I have cataracts). I will even make sure that we take the time to stop and smell the roses.
I love to play with other dogs, but let's leave the cats out of the game! I’m in for the long haul, I’m no short timer.

Spring break is almost over!! Dandelion thinks that was quite the week. I have to admit, I agree it was a busy one, that's for sure. All the fur babies are loving seeing their families returning home even though they've loved their time with me!!

Happy First Day Of Spring!! You know spring has sprung when you see the first signs of buds on trees and flowers in bloom. I saw a small patch of ground flowers at a clients house yesterday and these daffodils at another clients earlier this week. But that's the extent of the blooming so far this year. I've seen a lot of green coming up so I know we'll see it all very soon. Enjoy the warm-up coming soon!!

Pesto's Donut Shop is officially open for business!! She's been busy kneading the dough and getting the donuts out the door. She absolutely loves her new cardboard house!! This is not only a playhouse for resting but some good ole cat napping. It can also be used as a scratcher with the corrugated base at the bottom of the house for playing and exercising. The scratcher house provides a nice hideaway. The removable corrugated scratcher board helps promote paw health to fulfill your cat's natural instincts and provides enrichment in your home. There are several styles available on Amazon.com from this donut shop, burger shop, coffee shop, forest cabin, and an oceanside villa. They come with catnip and run $22. My kitty has one, and many other clients have these, and the cats love them. The catnip is key to put on top of the corrugated bottom occasionally to keep them interested. Happy Pi Day!! We like to celebrate 3.14 the best way possible with food by grabbing a human and doggie pizza pie!! I'll be enjoying a delicious slice or the whole dang pie with Bruce and Wallace while they, of course, enjoy their entire pie in a matter of seconds!! Ready, set, go!!

Today is K9 Veterans Day!! These four-legged heroes deserve their special day of recognition, too!! They started serving our country in their role in our military dating back to 1942 to their role today as well as their role with law enforcement. These K9 veterans are the best of the best. They are courageous and loyal, and many have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Let's honor and celebrate all these incredible K9 veterans!! The PETTAXI had to spring into action and get the Little Miss Hanna to the vet quickly in her own special PETTAXI when she suddenly became very ill. I called her mommy and daddy right away, and we came up with a plan, and off we went to see her doctor. Advanced Animal Care of Colorado and D.O.G T.A.L.E.S Activity Center was happy to get us worked into their day. Hanna received a thorough checkup. They asked me many questions since I had been providing her care for the past week. It was decided after their exam, the information I gave them, and the discussion they had with her family to give her fluids, a shot to stop the vomiting, and to run bloodworking and urinalysis. Hanna had just started taking a new medication, and they wanted to make certain this wasn't causing any of these issues or any other issues. After all the results were back, they were happy to report the bloodwork, and urine looked good. She was prescribed an additional medication to help her with her stomach. Last report, Hanna was feeling better. I know she was just extremely happy to have her family back home. So many pets miss their family a great deal when their away. This many times can cause stress and anxiety. There are many things that can be done to try to prevent or help decrease the level of this stress and anxiety. In Hanna's case, I was already playing music for her. One thing that can help is pheromones. There's a great brand out there that's been around for 30 years called Feliway, and they have a wall diffuser. You can plug into an outlet, and it will work for 30 days. It has a smell that only cats will smell and is calming. Another option is talking to your veterinarian about gabapentin. This medication is being prescribed frequently for anxiety.

What a spectacular 72° March day!! I think you needed to pinch me and remind me it's still winter while I wore shorts and a tank top walking the pooches today. The RMPS Tribe was panting like it was full on summer. I told them they better pace themselves and get ready for the real heat of summer this year. But they were all having fun as we went on the park bench circuit.

There's no other way to Spring Forward other than to do it "The Westie Way"!! Bruce and Wallace don't do anything slow. I hope you're doing okay without that hour of sleep this morning. Spring is so close, just 11 days away!! Fingers crossed no huge snow storms!! Enjoy our 70° weather in the meantime!!

Super fun day with the Beagles!! Moose and Pretzel are the cutest but also the sweetest doggies on the planet. The way Moose gets so excited and taps his front paws together and jumps up to get his treats is adorable. These two are so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful home. I can see how happy they are when they greet me at the door when I arrive for each visit. They know what it's like to be loved unconditionally. It shouldn't be any other way!!

Fridays are for FUN, and girls just wanna have FUN!! At least that what they say, right?!? I'll be the first to tell you these 4 girls have fun every day of the week. Each time I arrive, I find something new and exciting, I must clean up that wasn't there the day before. They all look so innocent, don't they?!? Stella is queen bee. She does like a few treats on occasion and a little play time with the mouse. Miley has mood swings, so you just give her some space. Dandelion and Emma just want to rough house and play from sunrise until sunset and eat treats. It's not always about the pooches. We love our RMPS Kitty Tribe too!!

Please send positive healing vibes to Little Miss Poppi's way as she undergoes her spaying surgery today. She will be taking it easy for the next 2 weeks.
