We have heartwarming news to share! 💕

Hawke has found his forever person, Paige Petrocco. As a wrangler at Sylvan Dale, Paige instantly fell in love with Hawke, and he lights up whenever she visits.

Seeing the path ahead for Hawke, Sylvan Dale asked Heartsong to take over his brand and there was no question as to who he would have the brightest future with. We are so thrilled that Hawke has such a loving and dedicated forever person. He's making huge strides, and we are hopeful he'll move home with Paige at the end of January to start his new journey. 🥰

Friday was a good day. As Micheal from Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch said, “We weren’t sure we’d make it here, so it’s a very good day”

Hawke has so much to teach about strength and bravery. Without hesitation he went right back into a trailer to transition to HeartSong Equine. He has settled in so well, greets us with nickers as we come into the barn, has made a new friend, and the sparkle in his eye is returning. He will be in our care for the next 3-6 months and we will do our best to update you along the way!

A little update!

Great news! Hawke is doing well with reduced pain management, and he’s set to be discharged to HeartSong Equine later this week!

However, our journey is far from over. Hawke faces 8-10 more weeks of splint bandaging and stall rest due to a fractured fetlock, cartilage damage, and severed extensor tendons, as well as injuries to his left hind leg and shoulder.

The team still needs help to cover a significant bill for his care at CSU and ongoing bandaging expenses for the next 10 weeks. Our Hope for Hawke clinic has limited space, so be sure to register and donate before spots fill up! We have some fun giveaways at the clinic and a silent auction coming soon!

As the Alexander Mountain Fire burned in Colorado this summer, Hawke and his best buddy Bo bravely loaded into a two-horse trailer to find safety. Tragically, the floorboards gave out of a volunteers trailer during their journey, causing significant and life-threatening injuries to both of their hind legs. Unfortunately, Bo's injuries were too severe and his team made the kindest decision to allow him to cross the rainbow bridge. 💔🌈🐎
With the phenomenal care at CSU Vet Hospital, Hawke is doing well but has a very long road to recovery.

HeartSong and our team of practitioners are donating rehabilitation services for Hawke, however, rehabilitation material costs for his injuries are significant. All of the proceeds for this event will help purchase medical supplies needed to ensure Hawke makes a full recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Our goal is to provide hope for Hawke and Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch during this challenging time.

There will be an additional raffle at the clinic for participants to win products, equine bodywork session, and additional classes!
