We wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the support for Hawke. Before we close out, we wanted to say a huge thank you to the team that poured a lot of heart, time, and dedication into making sure Hawke had a successful recovery. We have heartwarming news to share! 💕

Hawke has found his forever person, Paige Petrocco. As a wrangler at Sylvan Dale, Paige instantly fell in love with Hawke, and he lights up whenever she visits.

Seeing the path ahead for Hawke, Sylvan Dale asked Heartsong to take over his brand and there was no question as to who he would have the brightest future with. We are so thrilled that Hawke has such a loving and dedicated forever person. He's making huge strides, and we are hopeful he'll move home with Paige at the end of January to start his new journey. 🥰

Friday was a good day. As Micheal from Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch said, “We weren’t sure we’d make it here, so it’s a very good day”

Hawke has so much to teach about strength and bravery. Without hesitation he went right back into a trailer to transition to HeartSong Equine. He has settled in so well, greets us with nickers as we come into the barn, has made a new friend, and the sparkle in his eye is returning. He will be in our care for the next 3-6 months and we will do our best to update you along the way!

A little update!

Great news! Hawke is doing well with reduced pain management, and he’s set to be discharged to HeartSong Equine later this week!

However, our journey is far from over. Hawke faces 8-10 more weeks of splint bandaging and stall rest due to a fractured fetlock, cartilage damage, and severed extensor tendons, as well as injuries to his left hind leg and shoulder.

The team still needs help to cover a significant bill for his care at CSU and ongoing bandaging expenses for the next 10 weeks. Our Hope for Hawke clinic has limited space, so be sure to register and donate before spots fill up! We have some fun giveaways at the clinic and a silent auction coming soon!
