- if you bring kids. please let them know ahead of time that this Santa is a STEP-IN Santa since he is so busy and because our Santa needs to be able to remove his beard and hat so that the pups can get more comfortable before photos if needed.

- this year we will have the option to have a photo printed from our polaroid printer. (wide version )
- COST is $1 or a donation for us to drop off to the Jefferson County Humane Society

The skunk was found inside a dog kennel. There were no known human exposures; however, an 8 month old puppy was inside the dog kennel and exposed. The dog was not vaccinated against rabies and was euthanized.

I want to make a post honoring Charlie, but finding the right words to say is so hard and I just continue to restart. It is never easy saying goodbye to a pet and I couldn’t begin to even explain how his family is feeling right now. Charlie was such an amazing pup all around and we will miss him so much.

Please keep his family in your thoughts or prayers as they go through this difficult time.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called Rainbow Bridge because of its many splendid colors.
Just this side of Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills,
and valleys with lush, green grass.
When beloved pets die, they go to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who are maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who loved
them on earth.
So each day they run and play.
Until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!

The nose twitches.
The ears are up!
The eyes are staring.
And this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen!
And when you and your special friend meet,
you take him in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again and again,
and you look once more more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...
Never again to be separated
