BLM is currently conducting gather operations in the Topock/Golden Shares area. For the safety of the B***os and the personnel, they are requesting the public’s assistance in keeping the gather areas clear and safe for operations to conclude as quickly as safely possible. Trails off of Route 66 between MM 1 and 7 should be avoided over the next few days.

Limited public viewing will be available. Please contact Dolores Garcia, Public Affairs Specialist, at 602-417-9241, to schedule a viewing opportunity.

Emergency Donations Needed for Rachel!!!

Sweet Rachel has come to The Oatman B***os Rehab & Recovery Sanctuary yesterday from BLM with a bloody sarcoid tumor on her face which needs immediate medical attention.

The Sanctuary is doing everything possible to make Rachel comfortable ahead of her hospital exam tomorrow & possible admission for surgery at Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center(DPE) in Las Vegas.

Rachel needs your caring prayers & also your loving contributions to support her through this tough time to become her best self on her journey to health. The whole Sanctuary is praying it can be surgically removed & has not moved to the nasal cavity.

Now is the time Rachel really needs her village of fairy godparents to come together & grant her wish to be free of the bloody tumor so she can hold her head up with pride & confidence.

Adoption Pending!!

Scout is an adorable 6 year old mini Jack b***o looking for a new home! He was rescued from the slaughter pipeline and had a safe landing here at the sanctuary.

He is still learning that people are ok but is not a horrible boy. He just needs to learn to trust again. He is scheduled to be gelded next week and will be available once healed.

Scout needs to go to a b***o suave home and must have a b***o friend. We DO NOT adopt our b***os to be guardians or to single b***o homes for the most part. If you are interested in adopting Scout, please complete our adoption application.

Note: The photo is of the bottle baby named Traffic Cone. He was attacked in the wild by a bobcat & sadly his mama did not survive. He was found by a U.S. Forest Ranger standing by a traffic cone. The Ranger called Bureau of Land Management(BLM) & in turn the BLM agent called The Oatman B***os Rehab & Recovery Sanctuary asking if we would intake him. Of course the answer was yes! The Sanctuary Rescue Team drove to Traffic Cone & immediately transported him to Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center(DPE) for treatment of massive wounds. He has done extremely well under 24 hr care first at DPE & then at the sanctuary.
He is one of many that have been saved by this dedicated organization.
