What exactly does “Certified Groomer” mean?

It means that a person has completed grooming school, generally anywhere from 6-12 weeks of training, and received a diploma for graduating the course, thus certifying the groomer.

I’ve completed grooming school, attended many advanced training courses and was a grooming instructor. Continuing education is vital in my field. I attend at least one training course per year.

The state of Colorado requires a shop to be licensed (PACFA), only the facility. They do not license, train or certify a groomer.
