7 boys and 4 girls. Penny is one amazing Momma. She has been very attentive over her pups but of course her rockstar foster family will be helping her with supplement feeding these 11 babies 🐶.

Donations towards their care would be greatly appreciated. This is 12 to feed, vet, spay/neuter, deworm, microchip etc.

Update on Momma Penny she is at nine so far … 5 boys and 4 girls and she is still pushing😣… thank god we got her off the streets in time there is no way she could fend for herself and this many mouths.
We will update again later with final count.. She is being a very good momma.

Just in time !!!! Beautiful Momma Penny got a good nights rest and felt safe and started delivering her babies a few hours ago. She is surrounded by a very loving family helping her along the way…. We have two little girls and one boy so far 🥰.

Sweet Penny pregnant and due any time to deliver her babies dumped at a construction site in Homestead Fl!!! Thank you Melanie Muñiz Catter for caring to get Momma help and not turn a blind eye and a huge thank you to Analis Arriaga who is opening her home to this poor girl desperate to find safety to deliver these pups!
We are doing our best taking in animals on a DAILY basis, every size, age, with medical needs and BREED !!!!
We can only continue to do our part with a strong village of supporters behind us.

🥰 THEODORE AND BENJAMIN FIND HOMES TOGETHER AFTER 1 YEAR 🥰
As promised in our adoption post yesterday, here is the story of two discarded bully boys. These bonded brothers were found foraging for food around a car dealership in Miami last August with no shelter or protection from the heat and the storms. They were clearly dumped, probably the last two of a litter that couldn't be sold so their lives didn't matter anymore. Some good samaritans started to feed them and couldn't believe how sweet they were, however the owner of the dealership wanted them gone. We heard of their plight and took them under our wing. These boys are bonded - they found a way to survive together and they love each other deeply. It is quite a challenge to find a home for one 60+ lb bully male, let alone 2 together. Well, our prayers were answered this week! Two long time friends walked in and each adopted one of these boys 🥳 These ladies live together, so these boys will stay together 🥰 They are a bit shy at first as you can see, but they will come out of their shell with just a bit of patience and have an amazing life together. And yes, they have two nice big crates set up to have their separate space, but the ladies keep finding them in one crate together 🤣 ❤ Theo and Benjamin, you goofy boys are going to be very missed, but we are thrilled for your new life together in your new forever home 😍

🙏🐾 TINA IS SAFE-PULLED FROM MDAS 🐾🙏
A desperate plea went out for Tina, a little misunderstood rat terrier who has been bounced around between Miami Dade Animal Services and two different homes -- she was returned twice in less than 3 weeks, while also dealing with an upper respiratory virus and pneumonia. Her last return was due to "behavior issues" which lands her on the euthanasia list. Tina first landed at the county shelter end of June as a "fearful/nervous" dog and was adopted out within a 3 days. Problem with that is, how do you manage expectations and guide the adopter on how to help a fearful dog acclimate when you haven't observed her long enough to know what her triggers are and develop a plan to help her decompress? No surprise, a week later she was returned and then she caught the dreaded upper respiratory virus. Within 10 days, she is adopted out again, and again returned within 5 days with Pneumonia. Upon return she was attacking her tail and spinning in circles in her kennel and had to be medicated as her kennel stress was so severe. This poor dog has really been through hell. We thankfully had a foster step up and got her out of there! Well, she has been running and playing since she arrived at her foster yesterday -- so far, a completely difference dog than the notes indicate in her shelter record. Of course we will continue to observe her, but she deserves a real second chance where she is set up to succeed!

💛Buttercup and Dory – Buttercup came to us with her litter of 5 very young pup and 10 other dogs as part of a hoarding case. Dory is the last of the pups to be adopted. Buttercup was adopted by one of our amazing volunteers!
💛Strawberry (aka Anna) – One of 3 beautiful Great Danes pulled from Miami Dade Animal Services with awful cases of mange. Stormy still looking for a home!
💛Teddy (aka Sushi) – This little 14 yo senior yorkie was surrendered as his owner needed to go into assisted living
💛Minnie – adorable tiny stray found all alone trying to fend for herself
💛Doogan & Chyna – Surrendered by owner with terminal illness with 2 other dogs
💛Boogie – Sole, sweet puppy pulled from rural shelter
💛Breezy and Raven – These adorable girls came to us via volunteer flight from a tiny Alabama county shelter with 16 other puppies.
💛Riley – Came to us as part of a hoarding situation with several other dogs
💛Kira – Pulled from county shelter with her sibling and mama.
💛Princess – Surrendered by owner who could no longer care for her
💛Mango – Came to us in horrific condition as a 4 month old puppy.

🙏IT’S THANKFULLY THURSDAY!!🙏
A HUGE 📣Shoutout to Tikipub Fort Myers Beach for hosting GOFAR Monday. Not only did they host us but they also graciously DONATED their boat and entire crew to us! When I called to get information, the owner, Darla, didn’t hesitate a second and said “ the boat and crew are yours!” And what an unbelievable crew they are!! 👏👏Kaleb, Cody and Lance are awesome and they made our night extra special!! We all had a blast!!
If you are looking for a fun night out on the water, this is it!!!

❤️‍🩹 CRUNCHY - NEW NAME (ROSIE), NEW LIFE ❤️‍🩹
Crunchy (now Rosie!) was saved from MDAS yesterday where she was surrendered to be euthanized. Well, here she is at the vet - really, how could anyone think her life didn't matter? Rosie does have an upper respiratory infection on top of her severe skin issues to deal with, but seems like she already knows her life is heading in a beautiful new direction 🥰 Thank you to all who rallied to help this sweet soul 🙏

😧❤️‍🩹 ACE UPDATE - RESCUED ON BRINK OF DEATH ❤️‍🩹😧
Recall Ace was found on 8/24 barely able to move. He was rushed to our vet where bloodwork indicated he needed a blood transfusion for any chance of survival. We know now that his hematocrit level was a staggering 5 vs. normal range of 35-55 upon intake, meaning he truly was on the brink of death and it is quite surprising he was still alive. The blood transfusion was completed and his hematocrit level is now hovering at around 20 - big improvement, but still a long way to go. He is very weak and severely dehydrated and continues to be on IV fluids. We are so thankful for all of the donations to help Ace to date! It is adding up little by little, but we know this is going to be a very big bill. We are guessing $4-$6K, depending on how he progresses, but hoping for the low end. He was so critical, we could not wait for an estimate and we still do not have a summary of charges to date - all eyes are trying to save him at the moment.

❗“CRUNCHY” URGENT CASE - SAFE WITH US ❗
Now here is something to celebrate on this National Dog Day! This sweet girl was surrendered to Miami Dade Animal Services with owner request to be euthanized due to her skin condition progressively getting worse and “behavior”. Her “behavior” was perfect - sweet and affectionate with dogs/humans - and her skin condition can be treated. This particular vet denied the euth request and gave her a lifeline, a chance to be networked and saved by a rescue. That is how close Crunchy came to the end of her story. But instead, her story has only just begun because today she became part of our family. And she is part of our family, because one of our amazing fosters, Laura Valles Figuls stepped forward to take her in. Thanks to that vet who saw Crunchy’s beautiful soul, Laura & her family, all of those who jumped on networking her asap and all of those who pledged to help her. She is going to Alejo Vet Clinic at 4:30pm today.

🆘😫 UPDATE ON ACE - CRITICAL CONDITION - HE NEEDS A VILLAGE 😫🆘
We posted Ace's sad situation and rescue this morning - well he is in much worse shape than we thought. He is in critical condition undergoing a VERY expensive Blood Transfusion as we type this. Tossed away like trash to suffer until death or until a rescue picks up the pieces and puts him back together. Luckily for Ace, he was found just in time or he likely would not have survived another day. We don't have an estimate of his treatment plan yet as there was no time to debate, but we are expecting it will be several thousand dollars, maybe $4K. We will update when we know. We can't do this alone - we need help with this bill. Please, if you can donate even $5, many small donations add up. 💔🙏 JUST ANOTHER BULLY ABANDONED LIKE TRASH - HE IS SAFE NOW 🙏💔
We received a call about this dog starving to death in a remote area. Sadly, this seems to be a daily occurrence and when we are full to the gills and then some, it breaks our hearts to say we can't help right now over and over again. But THIS time, the finder said if you can help him, I will pick him up and commit to foster him for awhile, take him to/from vet appointments, etc. Now this time we can say yes, we can help. He is literally skin and bones, but look at how sweet he is. All he needed was a safe place and a bed to rest his exhausted, emaciated body and his broken heart. He is headed to Alejo Vet Clinic TODAY at 1:15pm and he has a new name and a new beginning - welcome Ace to the GOFAR family. THANK YOU Tiffany Hosch for stepping forward to save this boy! You may have seen the post for these adorable 18 pups that were from facing euthanasia at a tiny shelter - they literally flew into our facility on Sunday. But that is not all! We also took in 14 kittens just today too 😳 And then a handful of other lives needing saving to boot. 😞🙏 18 PUPPIES SAVED - IT TOOK A VILLAGE 🙏😞
We received a desperate plea last week. Tiny Monroe County Alabama Animal Shelter had been desperately trying to find help with 18 puppies for the past 6 weeks. They contacted over 50 rescues to no avail, then widened the net further praying for someone to help these innocent pups -- if not, they were going to be faced with an absolutely agonizing decision. An email came in titled Puppies & a Prayer and it caught our attention. Once we read it and saw the faces, there was no turning back. We had to help, we had to find a way, we had to save them. A critical joint mission began with Monroe County Alabama Animal Shelter preparing the dogs for their big day, Jaime Giroux and Puppy Rescue Flights taking them on their sky high freedom ride and Bryce Buttermore for helping us get the pups to the kennels. We are so thankful for Trisha Davis tirelessly working to find safe haven for these pups and all of those involved in making this rescue happen. Now, to ready these babies for adoption and find them homes ❤️🙏 !

🎉WOW!! Do we have a record- breaking Clear the Shelters week to tell you about!! The month long event promotes adoptions and fundraising for rescues and HOLY MOLY is it off to an amazing start here at GOFAR! 💥We had a SMASHING 27 animals find loving homes this week, including 4 long-time residents that overcame huge challenges to find their forever families! 🙌👏Let's put our hands together for all our adopters and furbabies this week! A house full of littles used for breeding until they have no further use for them or medically these poor souls need help. They have made thousands off these little chihuahuas backs, and will not spend a penny to get them help….

💕🐾 CLEAR THE SHELTERS SPOTLIGHT STORY - CRYSTAL ADOPTED 💕🐾
Our beautiful Crystal was living deep in the woods with her 3 week old 4 puppies. She is young at around 2-3 years old now, but she came in looking like a neglected senior. Her teeth worn down to the gumline in some places, evidence of the horrible life she lived. Scabs all over, heartworm positive, full of parasites, emaciated and utterly exhausted trying to survive on her own with her pups. Her puppies also malnourished, skin infections, parasites, etc. It was evident that she never had a human she could trust and that rubbed off on her pups as they all huddled in the corner of their kennel after intake and beyond. It took months and months of slow socialization with this little family by our volunteers and staff for them to finally accept love from humans. We are so thrilled that after 235 days Crystal has found her forever family and she is doing amazing in her new home. 3 of her 4 pups also have their families now, but our Bojangles is still waiting patiently - check out his profile on our website!

🥰 THEODORE AND BENJAMIN FIND HOMES TOGETHER AFTER 1 YEAR 🥰 As promised in our adoption post yesterday, here is the story of two discarded bully boys. These bonded brothers were found foraging for food around a car dealership in Miami last August with no shelter or protection from the heat and the storms. They were clearly dumped, probably the last two of a litter that couldn't be sold so their lives didn't matter anymore. Some good samaritans started to feed them and couldn't believe how sweet they were, however the owner of the dealership wanted them gone. We heard of their plight and took them under our wing. These boys are bonded - they found a way to survive together and they love each other deeply. It is quite a challenge to find a home for one 60+ lb bully male, let alone 2 together. Well, our prayers were answered this week! Two long time friends walked in and each adopted one of these boys 🥳 These ladies live together, so these boys will stay together 🥰 They are a bit shy at first as you can see, but they will come out of their shell with just a bit of patience and have an amazing life together. ACE - DUMPED MIAMI DOG RESCUED ON THE BRINK OF DEATH

😧❤️‍🩹 ACE UPDATE - RESCUED ON BRINK OF DEATH ❤️‍🩹😧 Recall Ace was found on 8/24 barely able to move. He was rushed to our vet where bloodwork indicated he needed a blood transfusion for any chance of survival. We know now that his hematocrit level was a staggering 5 vs. normal range of 35-55 upon intake, meaning he truly was on the brink of death and it is quite surprising he was still alive. The blood transfusion was completed and his hematocrit level is now hovering at around 20 - big improvement, but still a long way to go. He is very weak and severely dehydrated and continues to be on IV fluids. We are so thankful for all of the donations to help Ace to date! It is adding up little by little, but we know this is going to be a very big bill. We are guessing $4-$6K, depending on how he progresses, but hoping for the low end. He was so critical, we could not wait for an estimate and we still do not have a summary of charges to date - all eyes are trying to save him at the moment. 18 PUPPIES SAVED FROM TINY COUNTY SHELTER!

😞🙏 18 PUPPIES SAVED - IT TOOK A VILLAGE 🙏😞 We received a desperate plea last week. Tiny Monroe County Alabama Animal Shelter had been desperately trying to find help with 18 puppies for the past 6 weeks. They contacted over 50 rescues to no avail, then widened the net further praying for someone to help these innocent pups -- if not, they were going to be faced with an absolutely agonizing decision. An email came in titled Puppies & a Prayer and it caught our attention. Once we read it and saw the faces, there was no turning back. We had to help, we had to find a way, we had to save them. A critical joint mission began with Monroe County Alabama Animal Shelter preparing the dogs for their big day, Jaime Giroux and Puppy Rescue Flights taking them on their sky high freedom ride and Bryce Buttermore for helping us get the pups to the kennels. We are so thankful for Trisha Davis tirelessly working to find safe haven for these pups and all of those involved in making this rescue happen. LEO'S TRANSFORMATION FROM DUMPED DOG TO FOREVER HOME :)

🐾❤️‍ SPOTLIGHT STORY-CLEAR THE SHELTERS DAY 1 - LEO ❤️‍🐾 Leo was found in horrific condition by a Good Samaritan in early Feb this year. He was just a puppy still and had only known suffering and pain in his short life - failed by humanity💔 Fast forward past surgery to repair his broken leg and lots of medical care and love from his medical foster and our volunteers and he blossomed into a sweet, gentle, healthy, beautiful boy. He waited patiently for months until the perfect family walked through the door yesterday on Day 1 of NBCUniversal's Clear the Shelters month long event to encourage adoptions and supporting rescues 🥳💕😍 We understand the photos of Leo's initial condition in this video are heartbreaking, but that is the awful journey he and many other innocent souls undergo when humans fail them. To appreciate the enormous joy in our hearts when we see him with his new family, one has to appreciate the challenges this survivor overcame to get there. This is real rescue life. UPDATE ON KRATOS #A2178825 🙏🙏🙏 Remember our big sweet boy Kratos? He came in with massive tumor looking, open painful ulcers all over his feet and legs. Take a look at his legs now! They are thankfully starting to calm down with medical care and TLC. He is going in today for surgery, to biopsy the growths and to be neutered. We am praying these are not cancerous. His best life is supposed to be starting now! The shelter had put him as a senior-well our vets think he maybe 3 yrs old at best! He has some great pearly whites!!!! Which is great news also. A young couple saw her limping at night as cars rushed by in the background. Often dogs found like this get posted all over social media asking for “someone” to go help the dog. This couple has kids, dogs, a small home and no plan for how to help her – lots of reasons they could have used to ask someone else to help her. But they decided they were going to be her “someone”, took her in and named her Noa. (Dariel Rodriguez TY 🙏🩷) Noa needs an expensive surgery to fix her leg - $414 already incurred, $3,700 for the surgery and there will be more costs to come (vaccines, spay, food, meds, etc.). They have started a gofundme, but it is a far cry from what is needed for Noa’s care. So, we are going to work on covering the gap and hope our animal loving village will help us. 🙏🐾KIKI #A1025620 PULLED FROM LCDAS - OWNERS DON'T WANT A "DISABLED DOG" 🐾🙏 We welcome Kiki today with open arms after she was betrayed by her "family" in her time of greatest need. She was brought in as a stray with a severly fractured leg. Lee County DAS amputated her front leg. Subsequently her owners were found. You would think they would be so relieved that their dog was found and so sad for all she had been through, but no 😤 They surrendered her because they didn't want a “disabled dog” 💩! She's only 5 years old with so much love to give and they just turned their backs on her. Don't you worry Kiki, we got you sweetie and we love you just the way you are 💕🐾 She is headed off to one of our amazing medical fosters to recover and get well enough to be spayed and find a real family! 💕🥰 LAST OF 3 TERRIFIED PUPS FINDS FOREVER HOME AFTER 709 DAYS - WINSTON'S STORY 🥰💕 FRI-YAY Adoption Post Part 1: Winston and his two siblings Calloway and Shanti spent the first year of their lives as strays roaming farms in the Redlands area of Miami. They were spotted when our President Sherri asked Gloria Cabal to check an area called 312 st that she had cleaned up years ago by rescuing the dogs that used to roam that area --- sadly a whole new large pack of dogs was found living there. There were 2 moms with babies and a few dogs that were friendly enough to be rescued right away (Vuitton and Blossom and their babies along with Kool-Aid and Zeus for example - all adopted into loving homes long ago). But then there were these 3 on the opposite side of the spectrum: Calloway, Shanti and Winston, the most fearful of the group at around a year old and clearly never having human contact. They evaded capture in every way, so Sherri rented a van and joined forces with Gloria to trap these savvy ones back in August 2022. That was just the beginning. Their fear of humans was crippling and heartbreaking to witness as they cowered in corners, making themselves as small as possible and avoiding all eye contact. It took well over a year, but they were given the time they needed to trust by our staff and volunteers who eventually won them over and taught them that humans can be friends. We are thrilled to kick off our Fri-Yay Adoption Post day with Winston finding his forever family after 709 days. He follows Calloway and Shanti, who were adopted after 458 and 524 days, respectively (and just had a play date together!). We can not be more excited that all 3 are now in loving, patient homes and are making tremendous progress learning how to be indoor dogs and part of a pack that involves humans.
