Chica
Chica is looking to find a home that is forever. She has not had the best of homes thus far and we would love for her new family to see in her what we see- a loving and well mannered pup. She knows sit, down, and shake with both paws. Will you be the hand she longs to hold?
Nellie stopping by again just to say Happy Halloween! She is disappointed her family did not come and adopt her in time for the festivities, so she wanted us to let you know she is still available for adoption. She will be available to meet you Monday-Saturday from 10:30-3:30.
Cali
Another ‘Milton Foster’ is Cali. She made herself right at home with Animal Care Specialist Belle as you can clearly see! Belle has this to say about Cali- “This is Cali and she is the perfect dog for any home. She is perfectly house trained, potty trained, crate trained, and knows all her basic commands. She loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch and nap all day and snore. She doesn’t bark much and loves treats. She loves everyone she meets. She is an all around amazing dog!”
I’m a dog!
Meet Chad, not just any dog. He’s our three-year-old Dogo Argentino who is the definition of a ‘gentle giant’. Did we mention he is deaf? No worries, this does not slow him down because deaf dogs hear with their hearts ❤️. We would love for him to go to a home with other dogs. Stop by our adoption center today to meet him!
This past week has been filled with anxiety for many in Lee County. We thought today would be the perfect time to share how Lee County comes together when it counts. Enjoy this edition of 'The Kibble' and the wonderful pictures of our shelter pets comfortable during the chaos. We are Lee County Strong!
This edition of the Kibble features Loki. A two-year-old American bulldog who captured the hearts of everyone at Animal Services. Here is his story.
Cocoa, a charming two-year-old pointer mix, is our Spotlight Pet of the day, having won over the front office staff with her sweet nature while she helps out in the adoption center.
Her adoption fee is waived during our BISSELL Pet Foundation Empty the Shelter promotion. Stop by the adoption center Monday-Saturday 10:30-3:30 and Cocoa will be happy to assist you!

September 28th marked two years since Hurricane Ian swept through our county. Our community came together before, during, and continues to after the devastation Ian left behind. Lee County will continue to rebuild, stronger and more resilient than before. #LeeCountyStrong #hurricaneiananniversary
