On this New Year’s Eve, it’s especially important to keep your pets indoors—not only because loud festivities can spook them, but also due to the expected cold temperatures. Keeping them inside helps ensure they stay safe, warm, and comfortable as we ring in the New Year.

New Year’s Eve Pet Safety Reminder!

Remember to keep your pets safe during New Year’s Eve festivities! Keep them indoors and walk dogs earlier in the evening before fireworks begin. Turning on the TV or radio can help provide calming white noise during loud celebrations.

And don’t forget — take advantage of our FREE microchipping today and tomorrow from 8–4, no appointment needed! Microchips are a simple way to help lost pets find their way home.

Faith’s New Year. A New Beginning.

Faith is starting the New Year with something she’s never had before—hope for a forever home. After overcoming fear, hardship, and a life-threatening medical emergency, this brave girl is ready for her next chapter.

Thanks to the dedication of our Animal Services team, lifesaving medical care, and a chain of compassion that refused to give up on her, Faith is now safe, healed, and full of possibility.

She is currently with our amazing rescue partner, Gulf Coast Humane Society, where she’s waiting to meet the family who will make this New Year truly hers.

If you’re looking to start the year with love, purpose, and a heart-changing connection…
Faith is waiting.

Former Resident Update: Misha → Ivory 🐾

Ivory’s journey started with us on August 12, 2025, when she came in as “Misha.” She was surrendered just hours before being rescued and never even made it to a kennel. While she wasn’t in the best shape—covered in fleas and clearly having had a rough time—her story was about to change in the best way.

Ivory’s new family scooped her up and took her on an incredible road trip from Naples, Florida all the way to Chicago, Illinois. Today, she’s living her absolute best life! 💕 Toys, training classes, dancing, trips to the groomer, good food, and—most importantly—a family who loves her exactly as she is.

After the heartbreaking loss of their 15-year-old Cairn Terrier earlier this summer, Ivory has brought new joy, healing, and love into their home. We are so grateful she found the family she was meant for.

Thank you for choosing adoption—and thank you for giving Ivory the life she deserves!

These two are officially a bonded pair and absolutely love their forever home. Candace tells us they share so much love with her and she is truly blessed to have them. They will all have a very Merry Christmas together! 🎄

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re filling the final days of the year with happy updates from some of our former residents — like Ozzie! 🐾

His new mom, Sue, shared:
“I adopted Ozzie in August after fostering him for a weekend. As soon as I got him home, I knew he wasn’t going back to the shelter. Ozzie immediately made himself right at home with his two cat siblings.”

These days, Ozzie’s favorite things include peanut butter, traveling with mom, and playing with his friends at doggy daycare.

Stories like Ozzie’s are why we do what we do.
