When I rope yearlings on a c**t I let the track them around while I’m getting ready to rope and after I rope. I think it helps them to really get dialed in on a calf. As you can Meeko is a natural.

Meeko putting in some work today. This heifer is blind because she has pink eye in both eyes. She gets to go back to the feedyard and live her days out there.

We got a first set of wheat pasture cattle in yesterday. 197 hd of heifers, they were good set to turn out. Koda got in some trouble because he wanted to run off a little bit but he calmed down after a while. Brazos doctored 4 of them this morning before he left for GCPRA Finals in Buckeye Arizona.

Now days it’s hard to find a c**t with heart and try. It’s hard to find one that will go all day long, take a beating and keep going. Brenda today took a hard, long, tough day and flipped it the bird. Like Brazos said she got a dictionary, found the page with quit on it, ripped it out and burned it. Thats how she feels about the word. You do not find very any horses especially 2 yr olds that have the heart and try this little mare does. She is going to make someone a super star and I am privileged to say we started her.

Brenda and Meeko got to turn out a few wheat pasture cattle this morning. In a few short rides Brenda has a new attitude and view of the world. She still gets a little testy but nothing like she was.

Miss Brenda decided she needed to go back to the other horses yesterday. I wish I had a Pivo to get the whole bucking episode. So if anyone would like I’ll take donates for one! She got me off about 50-60 ft behind my phone. Lucky, I’m married to a very talented bronc rider who can ride dirty buckers. He got on her a spanked her pretty dang good while she was being dirty.

Bay is taking his first steps for a rollback and spin! He is getting lighter each day and picks up on things pretty fast. He is also learning how to move his hips when asked.

Look who I got back! Brazos and I started Koda back in 2021 for Lance and Amy Latini. He is going to spend the winter with us getting the final touches in his handle and to get worked on.

My line up for today. Portia and Amos are last so they are munching on some hay.
