It is amazing to see the reaction from my equine/horses patients when I utilize massage therapy alone, PEMF or, combine the two. It helps facilitate an immediate release and obvious comfort to the horses I'm working on.
A horse can quickly go from anxious and tense (ears pinned, stomping, kicking, or biting) to calm and relaxed within the first couple of minutes (licking of the lips, yawning, loud gut sounds, pooping, and even sleeping). A horse will typically yawn, chew, and occasionally almost or completely fall asleep. Owners, as well as myself, love seeing the immediate, undeniable responses and results for these horses.
Depending on the situation, massage therapy and PEMF can be a great tool before or after a race, work, or just seasonal change. It is of the utmost importance to ensure that massage therapy and PEMF are recommended for your horse. It is equally as important to find someone educated and knowledgeable not only in the field but also with body work in general.
I'm always happy to help give any recommendations and help you find the right plan of action for eac patient/team.
