Shedding season is getting closer and closer-especially as the weather starts to get warmer!
You can get ahead of all the fuzz and fur, by scheduling in on a regular grooming schedule!
Regular grooms benefit you AND your pet:
🐾 Less shedding=less vacuuming, sweeping, and clean-up!
🐾 Minimizes dander around and about your home, which means less itching and sneezing
🐾 Keeps coat healthy, fresh, and helps the skin breathe!
🐾 and most importantly, helps your pup become more comfortable with the grooming process!
Even mixed breeds, like golden doodles, can shed-and de shedding baths can help minimize knots, tangles, and matting!
We recommend every 4-8 weeks for deshedding! Four weeks is ideal to keep the coat clean and fresh, and shedding to a minimum!

We all know that some dogs get super nervous for grooming, but if you introduce it to them in a loving and positive way, it usually helps keep them calm during the process❤️
Hey everyone!
I get this question a lot with my poodle and doodle owners, “what tools do I use to brush my dog, and how do I know if I’m doing it right?”
So I made a video explaining the tools I use and how to properly brush your pup, and what to do if you run into any small tangles or mats!
This kind of brushing applies to any long hair dog, and even my long hair double coated dogs. You can also do this while they are sitting on the ground or even laying down!
If your dog is severely matted this process can actually be extremely painful to them and it’s probably best to bring it in to a professional groomer to have them shaved 😊
Mr. Austin was my demo dog today because he sits extremely well for grooming and his coat was a perfect example! The whole brushing process took me about 7-10 minutes. I recommend this kind of brushing every day if possible, but days can get busy. If you can’t do it every day try every other day, but I recommend that you don’t go longer than a week without brushing!
I’ve sped up the video so it wasn’t too long, but I am not apply much pressure when I brush him. You want to brush thoroughly, but not too hard! The knot you see me brushing out of his chin was small enough that it was easy to brush out and it didn’t bother him 😊
If you have any questions, or video requests for other kind of at home maintenance let me know!
